im pretty much where i wanna be. don't get me wrong i do pick up the occasional troop builder cp or what not but i been savin my money for the shit i really want like skyhawks and the wave 14 shit. I seen a few water mocs here n there but with targouges raising prices to 17.59 for vehicles makes the decision easy to pass. i almost never buy at target anymore...they are raising prices to unbelievable numbers so i almost NEVER hit them up anymore. they may have the stuff i am lookin for but they can keep it or people who wanna overpay can buy form em. I'll wait till i seem em at wal-marts or k-marts.

It's been tough to stay in when nothing is new. I don't buy the recards, and strongly dislike the Resolute figures. I may pick up the Resolute CPs since Destro is my fave and I want a Tunnel Rat, but I'd have to find them in stores first.
I've split my time/money in other ways. I love the new MOTU figs and have 2 of each. I've also been buying BAF sets, just finished DCUC wave 6 today. I've also gotten back into buying basketball cards. I've always been a collector but only certain sets from certain sports. I've gotten pretty lucky actually, so maybe I should stop while I'm ahead. I've also been trying to spend more time with Mrs. Ruckus Jr and friends. She's awesome and I love being around her, she works hard and crashes earlier than I do, so I'd rather spend a night in than run to WM when she's free. She treats me way better than I deserve and it's only fair I try my hardest to be as good of a BF as she is GF. |

I'm still enthusiastic about the line, but my interest is slowly waning, based on some of the movie line stuff I've seen. Will probably get stuff that resembles the classic 80s toys I grew up with, but doubt I'll get any new movie line stuff - if they are similar to the snowmobile-thing we've seen.
Plus, I am tired of the hunt (and finding nothing) ...

i will reduce my Joe collection by 50% this year as i already own most of the cool Cobra figs (CC,SS,Viper and Eel).besides, the Resolute line that is packed in each upcoming wave is not my thing.Hasbro could just release a separate Resolute line in say 2 to 3 assortments while maintaining the modern era strictly to arah line.

Still going strong, getting at least 2 of every figure to be kept on a card. Opening almost none. Initially, I kept buying a ton (multiples)of my favorite figures. For instance, I at least have 5 or more of first Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. I thought figures would be realeased in a one-wave-and-done fashion. My thought was these would eventually be off pegs within a year or two, never to be seen on pegs again. Therefore, I thought it was a good idea to stockpile. I always loved the iron gernaider Destro, I have at least 10 of them. Figures are like drugs to me, sometimes I overdose, haha.
It's good that some of the older figures are being rereleased in more recent waves. It sucks to pay increasing prices for figures, but I figure who cares, and keep buying them up. |

i notice i still am excited about the 25th mabe more so then i was when they where new. i was mostly into vintage for a long time but the 25th line just grew on me. but i only get what i like, and i have started to army build. the resolute trooper is my favorite figure right now and i want as many as i can find. i only have 5 right now but it took me a while just to get them so im glad i have as many as i do. collectors need to just be patient instead of getting all bent out of shape when they cant find something. eventually you will stumble across it and that day will be victory. it takes all the fun out of collecting when your in such a rush for the latest and newest figure. just enjoy what you already have and i think collecting will be a lot more enoyable.

I won't be buying many of the newer waves. I will however be buying the Lamprey comic pack, the gi joe extreme, and Night Creeper.
With the BAT & Viper 5 pack coming soon. I'm fine with that. I only want Alley Viper x4, Scarlett, and Storm Shadow out of the Resolute waves. I have yet to see the movie figures. Until then, I'm trying to bring some of my favorite arah into 25th form. I get to pick and choose how I want a character to look, rather than the other way around.I just wish they would give more of the characters we wanted. Like Raptor. |

Sorry dude. Just couldn't help but go there. I understand your frustration and I do agree that it sucks sometimes what Hasbro puts out. If I nab a figure I need from a multi-pack and find him later in a better form that I prefer, I cut my losses by selling off the first one to someone who wants it for whatever their purposes are (completist, for the kids, etc). I have even given my son the blue Snake Eyes because after a while I just wanted the black one. But yes, Hasbro has done some weird stuff (black SHARC with Grand Slam??? WTF???) and slapped us again for more $$$ (SHARC tooth) and sometimes one more time works too (Deep Six comic pack). Now that I see the pattern, I use more caution when buying figs. Blowtorch was a slam dunk gotta have it now, because the fig was done so well and I didn't see them doing a better or different version that I would want. On the other hand, I skipped the comic pack Tripwire because I was holding out hope for a smooth pads version. But I was ok getting the single card version anyway because he came with an element I really wanted for my MASS device. Bottom line, I collect what I want. 25th will definitely be the prime line for me, but adding vinatge stuff for nostalgia purposes is cool too. I will never be a MOC collector because there is no money in it (for cashing in at old age due to too much product being made over too many different lines), I just don't get into that, and I have no space to store it if I did want MOC figs. I love fidgiting with my collections anyway (I have Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel Legends too) so opening is very easy for me. Actually my 25th collection is just getting started (I only own 11 so far, but my friend's and my business has hundreds now) but I am adding slowly but surely.

Not yet but I feel it drawing near. I want everything re-done between 1982-1985 and when I've gotten all that (if it's ever made) I'd be able to throw the towel in.

I am just taking a break until Hasbro releases more classic figures. I've said time and again that I'm not interested in buying the Resolute or movie lines. Since this is pretty much all we'll see on the shelves for the forseeable future, there's no reason for me to run around wasting my time or money looking.
