Wal-Mart is by far the most frustrating place to Joe Hunt, on that we can agree. However, has anyone determined why some Wal-Marts have new stuff on the pegs, some have only the generic army figure crap, and some have nothing at all (leaving only 9000 GL and WWE figures in their place)? What is the determining factor here? Anyone?

All Wal-Mart managers are required to use this device to determine what toys to order:

give a man a fish, he eats for a day. teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime. I will rephrase your question and it should hopefully make the answer obvious:
Collectors are by far the most frustrating people to figure out, on that we can agree. However, has anyone determined why some collectors buy everything they find, some only buy some stuff, and some buy nothing at all? What is the determining factor here? Anyone? |

I assumed as much. Seems that at least 1400 of those plans include enough Bakugan to choke a classroom of fourth graders and 1100 Kilowogs. I suppose that's what we get for being 30-somethings in the toy aisle.

Speaking of giving a man a fish, Wal-Mart also has 50,000 Tomar-Re's available. Its not the collectors that are frustrating, its often the hunt and the successive credit card bills.

I think Target is a helluva lot more frustrating than Walmart. I have 40-50 POC figures; none of them came from Target. I have scored a couple in trades, other than that, they all came from Walmart. Target is great for Marvel Universe and pretty good for Star Wars. Their Joe selection sucks. As to why some Walmarts don't carry Joes now, just wait until the holiday season.

This makes sense, but I'm not sure that it applies to the 2 WMs in my immediate area. Joes have never really hung on the pegs there, except there have been a few RoC figs still hanging around, but not so many that they should stop carrying them altogether. Joes have always seemed to sell well in my area. I buy a large portion, but either there is another collector or 2 near me or kids actually get some, because the 25ths/ME and even a lot of the RoC didn't hang around too long on the pegs.

I thought that guy was supposed to look more like a bird. Although, there are two other lanterns who look just like a bird and a fish. Maybe Tomar Re is supposed to be a bird/fish combo....God, DC Comics are the fucking worst.
