I think the line would be too expensive in today's market, but I'll be darned if they weren't some of the coolest toys out there.
They were toys that were meant to be toys, and I would have much rather they continued the 8 inch figures than the 12 inch figures that they put out there (although I'm sure there was a bigger market for 12 inchers). I think what killed the line in the average fans' eyes were the cartoony appearances. If they were more Sunbow than Manga, I think they could have stood a chance to reach a bigger market. Regardless, the line itself was awesome, and I hope to see it brought back at some point. |

Thanks everybody for your opinions. It seems to me the preferences go to the 3.75" hands down, mainly for monetary reasons. I also love my 1:18 figures, must to admit, but the eight-inchers take me back to my earliest childhood days, when Mego ruled the Toy Aisles, and that's why the scale holds a special place in my Hearth.
I'm including two photos of 8" scaled mock-ups that Hasbro never produced. One was a Rhino Chopper, and the other a modernized version of the VAMP. Now tell me it wouldn't be extremely cool to have such giants around your collection's shelves... I've never quite got into the 12" collection because I feel the scale is SO restrictive, specially in terms of vehicles and playsets, but with Sigma you'd still have all the detailing of a 30 cm. figure --clothing included-- with still enough chances to present decent vehicles such as the ones in these images. Anyways, for the majority, it seems the line will be better left off for dead...

Hey... Why don't you share pictures of your vehicles? I'd LOVE to see them...

I have 268 sigma figures boxed carded and custom not counting my fodder trunk, i'd welcom anything that would expand myy options or horizons of this line. If it got me a Baroness, Scarlett or Jinx I'd pay sdcc/mastercollector premium. I also have 3 non bike vehicles for them as well, Firebat, Moccasin and Sharc

I'd love to have Sigma 6 back, but it would probably break the bank... :P (is anyone else imagining how much room a Sigma 6 Flagg would take up? j/k)

Yes, Yes and yes.
I would love for the 8 inchers to be back. 25th Anniversery line is dead and the ROC is nothing special to me. Here is a little thread that I am writing on AFN.ca about Sigma 6. GI Joe Sigma 6: The best toy line that you NEVER bought |

I never bought the sigma 6 line but I think the figures were hella cool. The accessories alone made them worth the money.
I'm kinda wondering now why I didn't pay more attention to the line. |
