hello i pick up the wave 11 and 12 today at the star wars gijoe shop in milwaukie i think it is call collectors connections not sure they had tons of cases i must have just showed up at the right time figures cost me 10 bucks each but i got them they also had the new dvd sets 3,4, and i could not belive it #5 with alpine crazy.. i had to buy it.

I'd recommend staying away from the shop in Milwaukie. He's one of the main reasons no one can find the new figures in town - because he is out scalping or buying from the Hot Wheels scalpers. This is the same guy that was buying up all the comic packs, removing the stickers for the Doc mail away, then returning them.

I'm not trying to tell you guys where to shop. But next time you can't find something look up his Ebay auctions and see why.

I know the store mentioned gets cases from Hasbro direct, the guy also said he distributes to the local stores (???). If he wants to sell stuff he ordered direct from Hasbro, hey, that's cool. I just won't be buying. But like you mentioned, it's that damn scalping, and tactics. He hits the stores like clockwork nearly every morning. He claims to know managers at every Target (so yeah expect it to be hard as hell finding the Ultimate Battle pack). The few times I've done early morning hunts, yep, him and the Hot Wheels guys. I mean, jeez, if you have a store, and probably get a wholesale discount, why the hell would you even mess around scalping stuff from retail!?

Yeah, seems contradictory. Almost like he is lying to you...

From what I understand he doesn't have a license to distribute from Hasbro, but he goes in on orders from other legitimate shops so that he can get a better price than full retail. If that is the way he wants to do business, no problem. I can understand that. The financial demands of a license are significant.

My issue is the scalping and burning bridges with the employes that in turn make my experiences in those same stores difficult. With the difficulty all of us face with finding the new figures and the general anti-scalper mindset of this board I thought it worth while to make useful information know when you have choices as to who's business you support.
