I stopped by the Okemos Target in hopes that Osok's luck would rub off on me. It did. I grabbed Beachhead, Duke and a Ghost Hawk.

They have all the figures except Cobra Commander and the Alley-Viper. They still have one Ghost Hawk and 2 Doom Cycles. They also have one of each of the Mechs.

I'm very excited. I've gotten everything that I want from wave 1. Now the wait begins AGAIN.

OK so after a trip to Doc's in between 7 and 8 mile after work I headed up to Toys R Us on 7 in Livonia. Finally found the TRU exclusives and picked up Spirit and Quick-Kick but then I found something odd - something interesting. Never found something like this in a retail setting. I found a Spirit Iron Knife POC figure on a Firefly POC card. Everything about it is crazy. The card is perfect, figure is perfect but on the wrong card. I have no idea if this is worth anything, if this is rare, or anything of the sort but obviously I had to pick that up along with a Charbroil which I had ignored up until now. Total bill - $24

Does anyone have any idea what you do with an exclusive figure<spirit TRU exclusive> on a non-exclusive card that is mint, never opened, still has the stupid orange TRU thing on?

Never seen anything like it.

In all my years of collecting, I've seen a few figures like this that are factory errors. Somewhere along the line, the card got put into the wrong assembly line(the one meant for the tru exclusive figures) and ended up being paired w/the wrong figure. Some collectors really like these kinds of pieces and some don't. The best thing you could do w/it is either keep it, if you like having a unique and possibly one of a kind collectible, or sell it on ebay, where you could get a decent price for it if the right buyer comes along. Either way, it's a cool find!!!

You can blame me for that missing CC... I haven't been able to post for a few days, but on Thursday I was out hunting following OSOK's good luck around Lansing.... Stopped at the Okemos Target. It was... interesting... They were stocking that section, and in addition to everything new in TFs being fully stocked (seriously, you name it, it was there) the POC Mechs & Alphas were there, but no figures- only empty pegs for them. I figured somebody just beat me to them. Hopped over to the TRU across the street and BAM! A full case of POC figures. Bought one of each, left the duplicates. No Spirit or Quick Kick though...

Decided to go back to Target and get another TF Scout, and amazingly they had JUST put out the POC figures! Kinda kicked myself for spending the higher price at TRU, but what incredible timing! Instead of the scout I grabbed the CC to have one MOC and open the first. So, sorry you missed out on CC, but know it's in good hands and not some reseller's...

On the bright side... holy f... I haven't bought a full wave of Joes in what seems like years, and it felt awesome. As I understand it, POC is getting full retail release like ROC and not limited numbers like the collector-focused 25th line. I'm very optimistic about Joe hunting in the POC line... As any TF collector can tell you, it's nice to have a line that's kid-targeted and carried in full at retail. Instead of hunting for scraps, I hope toy stores will carry POC like Iron Mans, Marvel Universe, TFs, etc and we'll be getting these much easier than with 25ths.

I hit the Novi Target earlier today along with the Novi TRU - finally the exclusivesw are out at lease at TRU but nothing else yet really. Picked up Firefly, Alley Viper, Duke, Beach Head, A Ghost Hawk, and Snowjob. thought about the Cobra Commander but left it for joeybones :-)

Walmart in KZoo (W Main) has POC Wave 1 for $9.97. I bent over and got CC and an Alley-Viper. They 3 or 4 pegs full.
