How was it? Did more than 5 people show up? I hoped to go, but I have a sinus infection, and it started raining quite heavily.
Not directly related, but has anyone seen the Rock Rampage set in MD? I've seen Vanishing Act and Sneak Attack, but none of the other two 3-pack sets. And yes I have purchased Rock Rampage twice locally (TRU in Waldorf and Glen Burnie). |

I'm pass the 2015 50th Anniversary offering for Joes. It seems pretty underwhelming since I was only excited about getting the new Gung-Ho figure which has never made it retail in our area (its like an urban myth). Also, for TRU and Hasbro not to have decent system of restocking once the quantity of the items are no longer in stock just shows they don't really mind if the brand doesn't make money.
I'm glad that I'll save money by Hasbro's lack of enthusiasm in the brand. They've shown us it's a lower priority than Star Wars, Transformers, NERF and Marvel for the last couple years, especially since the overproduction of figures and vehicles for the first motion picture film in 2009 which damaged their credibility to convince the big three to carry the full assortment of the follow-on waves. I just hope that with next year being a lull with no new 'Bayerized' Transformers film and the Star Wars: The Force Awakens fiasco dying down that we can just get a decent 2 waves of somewhat new stuff; I'd be really happy with the unreleased stock primarily from the 2012-2013 concept vault or/and a mix with re-painted figures only available through SDCC and FSS offerings. Sorry, this is definitely a rant, but just don't get why the the most recent theory (post Pursuit of Cobra: 2010 - now) is that G.I. Joe doesn't perform well at retail, when honestly its never available in good quantities in this area unless its at wholesale/bargain discounters (ROSS, Five Below, Marshall's, TJMaxx). |

I guess technically to have a meetup you must have at least two people there. So technically we had a meet up. Fogger and I talked Joe, comics, toys and other stuff for almost 5 hours. Then we went out side and traded a little. I came out with four 50th Anniversary vehicles for my kids. He got my Gung Ho two pack. I had a great time. Attendance can only go up from there. Hope you can make it next time Andy.
And yes I have purchased Rock Rampage twice locally (TRU in Waldorf and Glen Burnie). I owe you and Fogger drinks next time !

Was in Annapolis TRU yesterday. No figures but had two Silent Strike sets and about 5 Desert Duel sets.

And yes I have purchased Rock Rampage twice locally (TRU in Waldorf and Glen Burnie). Except not really. Glen Burnie is the one I frequent, since it's not far from my work. I was checking about once a week, a missed it! That is where I got my Gung Ho/Shadow Guard from (well, and the others I got, but that's the only one others have said is hard to find). When my brother first showed me the new 50th stuff, I was initially only interested in the Rock Rampage. But then I saw Chuckles and the FOE, and Shipreck/CC, and Storm Shadow/Spirit, and Zartan/Hit & Run/Torpedo,and Gung Ho/Shadow Guard... |

Rock Rampage has been available recently on TRU website. Not sure what the minimum ship is right now for free ship, but it appears to be in stock.

The Annapolis Toys R Us restocked the 2 and 3 packs. Walked in at 1:30 to find Rock Rampage and Gung Ho on the pegs. If anyone is interested PM me, I stashed them just in case.

Meaning what? You hid them in the store somewhere? That's pretty fucked up. Why not just leave them on the pegs where they belong for somebody else to find.

Seeing as how these last on the shelves for about 5 minutes, if that, and I've noticed that high profile figures like Captain Phasma from the Star Wars line are being cleared out in their entirety as soon as they come in, I thought I might be able to buy a fellow Tanker some time to come in and find them but yeah, I guess your right, it was pretty fucked up trying to help someone.

It's fucked up that folks cant find the figures they want to buy. Dude is just trying to help some folks here that have been trying to find these figs. Are his tactics a little questionable? Yes, but I have been able to score some really HTF pieces at retail due to homies stashing shit for me. Either stash them, buy them all and re-sell at cost here, or leave them there for somebody that is not linked to this community to get. You really cannot win. I think he was just being nice. Now if nobody finds them and they are basically lost to the collectors, that's fucked up.
