Yep, exactly. I stopped buying O-ring Joes in the mid-90s, so I am discovering some awesome vehicles from after that time. Plus, wanting to rebuy/restore favorites from when I was a kid. I?ve already started with some of the figures, and it?s a lot of fun!

These arrived today. I put in my next order and I'm thinking about making another one soon. I think I need a new vehicle for them lol! I have some ideas.

Anyone have a clue why Rooster comes with two antennae when his radio backpack can only fit one? The photos on the Delta-17 web site don't shed any insight on this. He seems to be the only figure who can't use all the gear he comes with.

They gave an extra in case you lose the first.

Yeah, I messaged Delta-17 on Facebook and got a quick response with that answer. Still seems a little weird. No other figure in the line comes with a redundant spare part "just in case." I wonder if they had originally planned to do something with the extra antenna but it didn't pan out? Or they just had an overrun of that part at the factory and decided to get rid of the extras? I don't know.
Anyway, I was wrong about Rooster being the only figure who can't use all of his gear. Thunder Battalion also comes with an alternate helmet visor he can't stow when he's not using. The best I've been able to do with it is hang it off his belt by one of the pegs. |

I ordered and have now received the remaining six figures I was missing to complete the set: Shepherd, Kestrel, Rooster, Delta Squad A, Thunder Battalion, and Jaguar.
Once again, I had two figures where I needed to reverse the t-bar orientation (Delta Squad A and Thunder Battalion), but the rest were fine. I like these figures and this line a lot, but I'm still not as sold on the female characters as many in this forum are. I think Kestrel's face sculpt is almost as weak as Death Sparrow's. The high-tech ninjas are still my favorites, though I think Jaguar is over-burdened with weapons. A couple of the guns in this batch have overly-thick handles that I would classify as thumb-busters (especially Jaguar's SMG). Even with the softer plastic on the figures' hands, I worry about how they'll hold up over time. Many of the rifles don't fit well in the figure's hand if you try to nestle the stock inside the arm - leaving the best pose in an at-ease position with the stock resting on the outside of the arm. One thing that strikes me with this line is that I think the added articulation of the swivel-wrists is unfortunately largely offset by the bulky torso sculpts due to all the web gear the characters are wearing, which makes two-handed gun poses difficult. It's basically impossible for Rooster to hold both the trigger and front handles on his rifle simultaneously except by aiming the whole thing 90-degrees sideways. Strike Force Alpha did this feature better, I think. |

Awesome collection. I am probably gonna grab some of the Strikeforce figs soon. Since I haven’t bought an O-ring Joe since I was a kid in the 90s, I’m very out of touch with a lot of the “modern” offerings. Currently trying to sort thru a sea of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow variants to find some new “best versions” to go with the OG ones. There’s a lot out there when it comes to O-ring that I’ve missed, and it’s like being a kid discovering a whole new line.
