No, he's not. The 6" Classified figure designs are trash. The majority of longtime collectors online think it and every longtime collector I know locally thinks it. They're ugly, ill-conceived garbage that spit all over the legacy of the brand.
The whole line is being run poorly. This 3.75" line is lazy and missing the mark on almost every figure in some way. Even the case assortments are clueless. Everyone who used to work on the Joe brand at Hasbro could do a better job and most longtime fans could put together better figures as well. Even the SDCC Joe item shows extreme thoughtlessness. Every other Hasbro brand has pulled something deep from the canon for the SDCC item that could get longtime fans excited. Only the Joe SDCC figure has made up a ridiculous-looking piece of junk with no connection to the brand's history.

I think the Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper, and Baroness figures are outstanding. The only two so far that I haven't liked are Scarlett and RoadBlock V1. The classified line sure is doing well considering "majority of longtime collectors online think it and every longtime collector I know locally thinks..." .

Hi fellow Joe collectors. I'm new to the boards. I had a big collection of Joes as a kid but gave them away when I was a teenager. I recently saw the retro line because I started getting the star wars retro line. It has me excited to acquire some GiJoe toys in the original looking packaging and with the old style look. I wish they were the Oring type but don't mind the new look and detail in the taller figures.
Anyway I've gone to Walmart a couple of times to look for the figures and there's nothing. No GiJoe, no StarWars, just a couple wrestling figures. It's very different from what I remember as a kid. Going through racks of figures to find the one I needed or wanted. And it only being in Walmart is a hassle since there isn't one nearby. Is this just the state of things? Target seems a little better but isn't carrying the retro joes. I've kind of resigned myself to just going online but I'm a little bummed that I can't walk down an aisle and pick out the figures and vehicles I'm excited about. I can see why my kids aren't into action figures at all. Trying to get what you want seems like a horrible experience. Lots of great info in this thread. Looking forward to more waves and more vehicles hopefully. Thanks. |

The Walmart’s I’ve checked in my area haven’t had any 3 3/4 retro figures yet and the only 6” figure is a roadblock in one store and he’s sit there for at least 5 weeks. Poor guy, every time I go there he is all alone and I even thought I saw a tear in his little plastic eye. He’s in the South Hill Walmart if you’re in the area stop by and visit with roadblock in the toy version of a nursing home.

I don’t understand people dogging Lenny over being a lazy designer. I’m not collecting Classified due to being 6”, but you’re in the extreme minority if you think those figures haven’t been designed well.
Don’t think Lenny’s hands are on the 4”; seems like that is Mustache’s game.
