Even worse, read it too quickly it's "you have how many bodies in the freezer?!" Quote:
I also made the decision that if there was a vintage vehicle that was re-released during the modern era I would get that instead of the original vehicle so this will potentially save me money on vehicles this go around (although I am a sucker for the Hiss tank). On top of that I already had quite a few of the 25th anniversary vintage vehicles that I have kept and just use with vintage figs. So I can just continue to hunt down the vintage vehicles/figs I want on ebay and plan accordingly as new waves from the retro line are released.

I don't know why they chose the figures they chose but I don't see why the card back wasn't 100% correct. I see no reason why the white boarder wasn't added and they could have left the colored spots behind the figures and accessories like on the original figures. And to differentiate between the 25th and Retro line they could have left that crowded mess of a file card and just put another picture of the character in a action pose along with the cross cell or whatever you call it.
I'm all for parts being used from the way overpriced Club figs. And here's hoping for some Renegades era B & C characters that were near impossible to find. IMO that's where they should concentrate after the main heavies are done to anchor the line. |

I thought as much myself. The legs were whatever they reused for the 2017 SDCC Missile Command Cobra Officer too. I guess that explains why Cranky has a full beard instead of just a mustache. I may do a head swap on him. It is still improved from the 25 release. Not sure If I will swap the legs but those Shipwreck arms are much better than then Spirit arms.

The ASP would get some nice mileage with Python Patrol and red versions and re releases. Same with the Sky Striker, Tomahawk, Sky Hawk, Mobat, Vamp, Vamp mark 2, Ram, Flak, Whirlwind, Snowmobile, SHARC, Snow Cat, aardvark, etc. I’m in for all of the stuff we got in the modern era redone like the Hiss and Awe Striker. Aside from the obvious big ticket items like a Whale, or Mauler, I’d LOVE the 1984 box of Zartan with the Swamp Skier. I remember getting that in the summer of 84. I like the Hall of Heroes build of Zartan best.

I remember toys used to stick around in retail for longer. It's easier on eBay to get a vintage Rattler than the reissue. Were they produced in such low numbers?

You lost the best of Joes, and you have absolutely NO CHANCE to understand what this means to us who lived through the 80s. Clue as in when our moms told us we didn't have to go to McDonalds because she would make burgers at home. This was a lazy cash-grab from the start. GIJoe: Cash Grab, is the name of the line.

Has anybody else here preordered their Classified figures from Target and received them. My preorder says it’s on backorder and Target keeps pushing the date back.

G.I. Joe doesn't belong to you, me, or whatever generation we grew up in. We've all got our own Joe, just like we've all got our own Batman, Star Trek, Doctor Who, or game console. You think there isn't someone out there disappointed that Retro Joe isn't 12"? |

Let’s not forget that literally every piece of info we had about this line until the Fan Friday was leaked information or speculation. We were in no way mislead by Hasbro.
Also, I don’t think Crankcase is using the Topside head

Rage over inconsequential shit, just like the old days! The more things change, the more toy nerds stay the same...
Anyone who says anything about "cash grab" when discussing products meant for mass retail consumption is automatically up in the night and being ridiculous. Of course it's a cash grab, that's the whole fucking point and the very reason for these things even existing! |
