118 thou is a lofty goal. These are amazing looking figures, and I have followed the progress for some time. I had thought these could come around faster than Nov 2020 given all of the behind the scenes work shared on FB but alas, a year and a half.
I admit I will not be going in on this because of being burned by 4 kicks that have taken years to still not deliver. Not fair to this creator of course, but it does sway my eagerness to participate. Best of luck to the creator. I will definitely add some of these to my collection from the secondary or retail market in a few years if the kick is successful and delivers as promised.

I'm thinking these will look great. Not just with Boss Fight, but as a faction for Hell Screamerz, or even the Animal Warriors of the Kingdom tribes.

Definitely agree with folks that these offer a much heftier male figure than the standard BFS characters. Indeed, that's one of the things I particularly appreciate about my Marvel Universe Colossus. I like that he's clearly substantial enough to throw cobra troopers around like old duffel bags.
Perhaps that will be incentive to help kick up some pledges there.

From thematic and aesthetic points of view, I don't see any reason why these Unslain figures couldn't find a foothold in the market. The fact that they are on a larger buck ought to make them very welcome.
BUT that ab crunch... Personally, I can't get past it. Just feels too foreign to me in this scale and visually unappealing. I've asked about it before, but have yet to receive any convincing answer as to why it's better than a chest swivel. Others have posted the same, though I have no idea how much of an impact it will have. But to my mind it will have some negative effect on money raised. That aside, does this Kickstarter make sense? All the multi-figure pledge levels only work out to CAD1 or USD0.40ish off the price per figure? That's not enough to convince cherrypickers on the fence to splurge on a higher pledge level, is it? Makes me wonder how much momentum this campaign will be able to generate through the middle and end of the campaign. |

On the fence, I have about four figures in it I like, and could incorporate into my BFS plans. I want to basically just do up a small good guy D&D style group against a bad guy setup. Something I can display in a cabinet, but not going all in on the story. Might buy a barbarian or two, and maybe a bad guy for the bad guy group. Wish him well though, the sculpts look good.

I just want Atrox because he's 90% Shao Kahn.

Yeah, but that's not very intimidating or threatening. It's a lot easier to beat up the homeless crack addicts in the park than to challenge the big bruisers in your local power lifting gym.

Right. Think LOTR Solomon’s “hybrids.”
