It's kind of maddening that they lead into the last 12-pack with a claim of wanting to "fill a few more holes in people's collections" when they instead spend at least a third of the slots on international figures and not a single one of the 12-pack is filling any holes in the '82-'89 years of ARAH, plus they waste two slots re-doing a pair of Slaughter's Marauders that have already been done in Modern Era.
When they said to fill holes in people’s collection, I knew right away it was gonna be holes from the GIJCC released figures, not the ‘80s ARAH collection.

Okay? Congrats to you for knowing that they meant they weren't filling holes in the main ARAH line that were still missing but were going to do International Figures? Whaddaya want, a cookie? *shrug*
Regarding Lowlight and BBQ - You can adjust the colors however you want, at least you already have the figure to work from. It's much harder to create Lightfoot. Or a Tiger Force figure with the striping for that matter, compared to just being picky and wanting a second version of an existing character to change a couple colors to more closely match a JoeCon non-original SM color scheme. Unrelated: It was cute how excited that Chris dude in the front row got, though. Last edited by edgecrusher; 06-26-2018 at 11:37 PM.. |

I am really sad to have missed the last JoeCon. It’s been a rough year... but that being said, I was really hoping for a fourth quarter Hail Mary announcement that the club may be staying around. GI Joe is just too great a property to shelf. Come on, Hasbro... Some people are getting sick of Transformers (even though they are great).

That sounds like a nightmare! Chattanooga has a airport and 15 min drove to hotel. There were mo connecting flights? I know chicago has a direct flight. Sounded like all that was missing from that flight from hell was john candy showing up in a station wagon offering a ride to the train station lol

My whole plan would have gone perfect if it hadn’t fallen apart at LAX. I would’ve arrived at my hotel around 11:00am, taken a nap and head out to the “Line” around 4:00pm even though my pick up time was 7:00pm. Unfortunately, I had to go to the late pickup Friday morning and I was 2nd in line for the Club store. I did get one of all the exclusives, so yay.
Sunday was kinda sad because I had to leave before the final panel ended. I wanted to give my self enough time to get to the airport. The first Lyft guy cancelled on me when he saw he had to drive me all the way to Hartsfield/Jackson Airport. The 2nd driver was cool, boy did she haul @$$ to get me there with more than enough time to make my flight home. To top it off my flight landed 20 minutes ahead of schedule. How late did you get back home to LAX? See, if I’d gone all that way I would have insisted on sticking through to the end on Sunday which means flying that night and hoping to catch two planes would have just been too risky.

The Club has tried to remain true to vintage deco. They did not produce the previous ME versions of BBQ & Lowlight. I don’t think you can label those two as wasted slots considering they match the deco of this year’s set and you will find that a lot of fans wanted this.
So, as a ninja force fan who's getting some love from the club down the stretch, i can't begrudge those that like SM their proper deco BBQ and Low light.
