sheesh people are still moaning bout the film and the figures . the films coming out end of story give it a rest . its your choice to see it or not .anyhu why are poeple complaining about the neo-viper repaints look at it this was how many basic 25th cobra trooper version and alterations has there been ? are ye forgetting that this trooper is replacing the basic cobra troop in the film of course theres going to be a 101 repaints.I don't hear anyone complaining about the diffrent joe repaints . desert assult ,paris attack, jungle theme and what ever else they decide to pop out . your forgetting most of these are the same figure same sculpt maybe diffrent head ! So leave the poors old neo's alone . they are actualy good figures .

Yeah buying the toys for the kids.
Yes. More aggressive advertising in general is needed, there has been a huge lack of advertising since the relaunch in 2002. A movie is coming up, a the Hasbro/Discovery channel is in the works, now and next year are critical times to start advertising the hell out of G.I. Joe. It is one of Hasbro's top action figure brands, and I think all of us can agree that with regards to marketing/advertising/promotions, it has been neglected. For one of Hasbro's core action figure brands, this is surprising. Even more surprising that the lack of advertising continues up until now. Hell if none of us were even active on forums, I doubt most of us would have even heard of G.I. Joe Resolute. In my opinion, it could have been far more successful than it already has been. What I find baffleing is how anyone could possible want Marlane Wayans as your default Ripcord from now on. Same of General Hawk and this new Snake Eyes with lips. By buying into thier new vision you are forever changing the course of future waves and product avaialability. Only desicion that has to be made at this point is are your Resolute or are you ROC the Movie. That will be the defining moment for the brand. If we go Resolute I will be shit grinning all the way to the bank. If we go ROC...then I am fudning Sideshow's future operations as long as they remain out of the ROC market. Pretty simple choice...now choose your side LOL. Why we can't have all 3 (Resolute/modern+25th/ROC) at the same time as seperate lines is beyond me and thier pathetic excuse of not wanting to confuse the kiddies is true evidence of how they only want one line for the joes...ROC...

I think Hasbro is affraid of the reprocussions. I don't think they really had high hopes for Resolute and BAM it hit em hard because it was what a lot of us were looking for. Now they are affraid because of all the huge monies they have thrown into ROC and are now reeling from that and are making thier idle threats that if it does not suceede then it is all finished. Easy way for them to scare people into the theatre to recoup thier losses and then HOPEFULLY reset and refocus on the mainstay of Resolute as the new course. However thier fear tactics are going to work and you can kiss anything other than ROC figures away for good.

No kidding. Any attempt to make this "Resolute vs. RoC" is bullshit. Mature, adult collectors are capable of making up their own minds what they like, whether it's one, the other or, (ZOMG IMPOSSIBLE!) both.
The whole "vs." mentality among fandoms is one of the most idiotic things about the "hardcore fan" phenomenon, especially when it's within the same brand. If I like Star Wars, there isn't a damn thing that stops me from liking Star Trek, too. If I like Resolute, there's nothing that stops me from liking RoC too (at least much of what I've seen of the toys, anyhow). The difference being, we know we're getting a full line for RoC. We're getting a few figures for Resolute, and no matter how much some folks might wish for it, Resolute is never going to be "the future of the brand." Hasbro does, and always will want G.I. Joe to be a kid's brand. Resolute is not a kid's show. If RoC fails, we might still get G.I. Joe. Maybe we'll even get some "classic" stuff, but it won't last any longer than the 25A line has lasted, before Hasbro will be attempting their next wave of "getting the kids involved." Probably with a new animated series...one that won't be Resolute, and will probably resemble RoC more than anything. And once again, for the seemingly millionth time: The reason we can't have a "classic" line and a "RoC" line running simultaneously is because the retailers won't support it. If the retailers won't support it, Hasbro can't do it. You can make all the toys in the world, but if you've got no outlet to sell them, you're just sitting on a pile of unsold toys, and have lost a crapload of money. Actually hasbro said in oone of the more recent QnA's that future product will have a movie look and feel to them but will keep the modern era/25th type of construction/articulation. so in essence we'll get dial tone...either as a chick or as a man but in a power suit or ugly camo patter stuff. THATS what we as fans have to look forwards to. I say nay.

Because they are exclusives would be my guess. They did say there would be a few but they would not be many classic styled. A few to me is not good enough. I want the classics/resolute..to have just as much store exposure and NOT be either horrible wal-mart or online only exclusives as for the most part (waves 2 n 3 target vehicles being the exception) most exclusives to wal-mart, especially ones form a popular line( how many people REALLY saw the DCUC metallo wave at wal-mart) are almost impossible to find. I know the dumb wolverine exclsuives are at wal-mart but...no one really wants those.

I don't see how anyone can be so dense and actually believe that if you support the movie you're some heathen who doesn't like Resolute. One side or the other? They're completely different. If fans just want to play infantile games go right ahead. It's lame that supposed fans of the franchise are lurking other boards trying to shoot down this movie and attempting to get audiences not to like it. It's not good.
