My son is 10, being in a small town, he knows just about all the kids his age (there are only 4, 4th grade classes in the whole 2 town area).
He said only a few like toys, and it's wrestling. He was in cub scouts last year and had a meeting here at my house, there were about 20 kids. Only 2 liked my toys in my toys rooms, the rest were more interested in my PS3 and the Wii. This is a small demographic, but kids of the "target group" really aren't into toys like Hasbro believe. |

You are going to get your Classic Joes in 2010....this has been stated by Hasbro.....many times. If you dont like the toys or if you dont understand why they are making movie toys (Which really isnt a hard concept to understand) then just save some money and have some patience and wait one year.... |

I have no problem with folks that flatly and simply state that they hate the movie toys.
But if people try to pass their opinions off as proof of why the line will fail, much less using blatantly uninformed opinions riddled with a complete lack of perspective, logic, long-term vision, or common sense (much less business sense) I think it's perfectly valid to call them on it. I'd also note, just as the "haters" have every right to post their opinions for all to digest...everyone else has exactly the same right to agree or disagree with them as they see fit. Someone disagreeing with you, no matter how "vocally" isn't some violation of your civil rights. If it really offends you that much, I'm pretty sure there's some sort of "ignore" function on these boards. In short: If you aren't prepared to have your opinions debated, picked apart, or challenged...you really might not want to post them to a public forum. i don't mind open discussion of opinion at all, but you rarely find that here. it jumps into insults, symantics, and everything but mature, rational discussion. it's soo much easier to just post your opinion, read others and let it go than to end up with threads like this with countless pages of he said, he said, throwing it back in each others face like watching monkey in a zoo fling poo at themselves.

looks like you cock the fuselage (similar to a shot gun and hence the "lock and load" description) of the night raven while holding the pistol grip. i would call it lame but that's just being WAY to nice.

The Pit looks like prototype for the old moblie command HQ. Same idea. weaker execution. Not saying it's not ok, maybe but it looks signifigantly less cool than that older toy. Think I might have just prefered an altered reissue...

Yeah...good luck with that. Movie toy lines almost always utterly fail. Hasbro would be far better off repainting some figures and vehicles and be done with it.

How many members on this board? How many of those have bought a GI JOE product in the last year or multiples? I bet if you took the totals of everyone of those it would be in the $10 million figure area in cash flow....hell General Hawk had what 50 of one figure at one point....if he held on to that he would have spent around upwards $20,000 alone on sigle carded figures....at $7 a figure or $15-20 per vehicles and that is just one person!

of course, you have to ignore many other factors if you are coming to the conclusion that those lines failed simply because they were based on a movie. is that your assertion?
