Yakface.com is reporting that....
Our friends at YodasNews have tweeted a report that come July 1, action figures will be going up in price about $1 each do to rising shipping costs to distributors and stores. Since this is explained as a shipping cost issue, one can assume this won’t be limited to the Star Wars brand. this sucks. perhaps it is time to employ American workers here in the US since it would cut shipping out and toys would cost pretty much the same. |

Actually, I suspect much of that has already happened, what with the $9 pricepoit for Joe and Avengers, the upcoming $15 Generations figures, and while STar Wars is still $9 at Walmart, I'm expecting $10 by the fall.
Domestic production doesn't help the price issue since the VAST increase in labor cost would more than offset any savings in shipping.

If Meijers changes their Joe prices from 6.99, I don't know what I'll do.

It's not going to get any better. Not trying to be pessimistic, but it's just not.
