But the article said a raven haired skilled in Intelligence...sounds more like Scarlett. She seems more suitable for that role. Maybe someone didnt post it correctly.

raven-haired=black haired
But gijoe.com is posting this... does that make it official? Hasbro has already stated its not happening in Brussels, but the link on the site is to the Variety article, which says it (wrongly) is... so is the right hand not talking to the other or what? |

She could fit the part. She certainly looks hot.
Now if someone with some photoshop skillz could just give blondie that "Raven-haired" (black) look, we'd really have something.

Other than the fact she can't act and GI Joe aren't going to be Americans, this is not looking good.

I dont know why I was thinking raven haired was red,,,yes you are correct. I haven't seen her in anything but not what I had in mind for Baroness.
Yes, it did mention the Brussels thing...very odd. Kind of hoping it is wrong...God a bad director could destroy chances of anything good! |

I am calling shenanigans on that whole argument string. I'm sorry but no one is asking for such absolute rigidity that no one ever gets shot and people turn into whales. No one! That's dumb. The cartoon was phenomenal. Not the crappy episodes full of ridiculous writing but the premise. The reason everyone remembers the cartoon so fondly is the basic premise is great. If the director and scritpwriter could just take the core essence of the GiJoe vs. Cobra storyline it would be brilliant. Now it sounds like the director and screenwriter are doing that. I just hate that argument, as it gives the people in charge the greenlight to disregard canon and alter things just for the sake of it. Michael Bay thought that TFers was a joke and it showed on screen. I really don't want that to happen to GIJOE. The director shouldn't have animosity towards the source material. He should embrace it and improve.

But that is part of film adaptation and why it is so anticipated and why people get so excited about it. A different twist on something original. Something we already like but with a huge budget.
If I am understanding your argument correctly you would not change much from the cartoon version? I for one was never into transformers as a kid but I loved this movie that came out recently. It was very well made and followed the same basic concept. It was made as a big movie production which is what they will do with GiJoe. I agree with 100% with the original comment on not making a sappy movie where everyone is safely falling to the earth with a parachute. It doesn't make me a sadist because I want some real life tragedies from an elite unit that is militarily developed. |
