The price point has been discussed to be between 4-5 dollars on other threads........ its not Hasbro's fault if stores are getting greedy and trying to sell them at 9 bucks a figure.
Hasbro did not make the movie Paramount did and there is no proof that they are making a huge prfit if any from the toys.... I would also point out that GI JOE is on wave 5-6? and shows no signs of letting up.......how many movie properties make it past wave 1........Uhm, very few! Hasbro has also shot out numerous press releases touting the success of the line....... What more do you need? Last edited by CrimsonGuard101; 12-10-2009 at 10:21 PM.. |

Was ROC a success to me? Hell no not even close, but it could have been salavged if put out at a different time and had a different director/producer. It was a half assed attempt to do what I have said from day one, sell toys and make this line solidified, not fragmented to hell and faultering on the edge of an abyss from which it may never come back from.
See? That wasn't hard.

Right. Which was my point when I replied pages back to Streetsweeper.
Thank for helping me reinforce my point that there are both sides.

LOL!!!
I dunno how that happened! I bet is Hasbro's fault somehow. Quote:
What it pisses me off is when someone just states what is good a right. None can claim that, except on some obvious cases. The thing with RoC is that the general hate is based on people's memories. Haters hate the new universe, cos it doesn't match what they remember. If the movie was called "Pepito and the awesome commandos" the movie would be ok. Personally, i don't care much about small details. I simply like the concept and general idea of GI Joe, and the movie has it. I don't care if it doesn't resemble Arah...i have the old stuff for that.

How does it prove that? Anywhere where most of the approval rating is in the "like" category versus the "dislike" category would prove that it didn't suck and that most liked it. It doesn't need to be above a certain number, just have more. Hell, it could be out of a 100 people and 40 (which is less then 1/2) liked it, 30 didn't like it and 30 were undecided and it would still show that more people liked it then disliked it. Saying it only has a 48% approval rating is proof it sucks is just flat out wrong, I'm sorry, but it is. Most of the people liked it, that's all that matters. You're the one that is dead set on it having to make some mythically approval number to "not suck". As long as most of the people polled say they liked it, then that's all that matters. The rest is just spin in both directions.
