Well it didnt wow me. There were some enjoyable moments, despite some OBVIOUS editing flaws (like when suddenly se aint on the bottom of the humemr when the rocket it hits it then magically he is) and i woulda just got all the flash back stuff out of the way in the begining rather than parse em out through the film ( i always hate that to me it takes away from the pacing of the flick).
Tatum wasnt horrible as duke, I got sick of Marlon WAY early int he film, the really needed to drop a lot of him hitting on scarlett that got old QUICK, and I still cringe every time baroness says NICE SHOES...TOTALLY UNNECCESARY. The explosions and se/ss fight scenes were pretty damn cool and i Liked what little they showed of stone. I'm still irked at Covergirl(we all know why by this point that was just crap what happened to her) and duke should got more time in the Impact armor, i was kinda expecting him to use it more than what little they did. I can think of other films i'm lookin forwards to seeing, Inglorious Bastards being at the top, but it was watchable.

Just got back with the family after seeing the movie and we loved it! In fact, my wife even said she hopes that they make like 3 more sequals to this. Even with some nasty kids kicking our seats and talking thru the whole movie, we still had a great time, and plan on seeing it again. Now if I can only talk her into playing the xbox game with me....
All in all, just like Transformers, each new media experience will always draw contriversy as changes to the originial story line may change, but the core mythos is what we hold dear to us and thats what will help keep the franchise going for many more years to come. Back to those nasty kids I was talking about, they were so hooked into the movie and loving the heck out of it. There is our future fandom, and as Lucas has shown with his relaunch of the Star Wars movies and tv shows, many more generations of fans has been created. Yo Joe! |

I just got home from seeing ROC and I was very happy with it. I found myself wanting more when it ended and I couldn`t say that about any other movie this summer! It wasn`t the old comic books or cartoons storyline but it worked.

I loved the Baroness' "Nice Shoes" comment. It fit with her character.

I loved the movie. It was a great afternoon that kept me entertained. Cobra Commander was awesome and I have some respect for Marlon Wayans now. Sure somethings dissapointed but overall it was awesome! Can't wait for a sequel.

Loved it. I didn't like the scene with Scarlett and Ripcord after the pit attack and SE reason for silence. I still out on Destro's metal head... But the rest of it was a good updating / revisualization.
