Remember the "card craze"? I do...I just found shoeboxes filled with Garbage Pail Kids, Marvel, DC, Star Wars etc etc...and G.I.JOE.
Nothing really "special" about them but I thought they were a really cool novelty for the franchise to have. I'm just starting to get them in order. I know I have a few complete sets as I can remember buying a few boxes...looking foward to putting them in some binders. Anyone else have these? |

I found the cards a little lackluster.
I was spoiled by all of the old school GI Joe card art, those awesome paintings, I believe Dave Dorman did some of them. Also, this is a time when Joe Jusko was painting those Marvel cards that were kick-ass. So to me, the GI Joe cards were a little meh. My cousin & I did collect them for a while, although mine are long gone now. |

Cards?
Like playing cards? We got a Joe set here (Argentina). I don't have them (i have a lot of other 80ties card sets tho), but a good friend has. Pretty cool stuff, each card has a character, the artwork of the cardbacks from the figures. One of these days i should scan them all and post...

I still have a set of the 91 and some of the others.
I also have the TGIF cards, but really just use Urkel and that lady from showgirls as book marks now.
