I really really want to see Rock and Roll getting the update he's due to have. His 25th version was horrible, it was like he had met some headshrinkers from Papua New Guinea, his head was way too small.
I would like to see him in the 1989 outfit, which resembled his look from Resolute. Who of the main 4 heavy machine gunners, do you think should get his update first??

Joes now get sold internationally. Last we knew, Rock n' Roll couldn't be sold internationally due to trademark laws. RoC Benchpress works if you ditch the saw, for a SAW. Just imagine he's cool, and plays bass along with surfing.
Also, unfortunately, why we likely won't be seeing him in Renegades. Renegades gets aired internationally, and Renegades is the future. So it looks like Rock n' Roll is just a fond memory.

Seriously, the 25th version was ok when there was just a handful of 25ths...the more Joes got released, the more i disliked him. Short, pinheaded, skinny... even the arah version looked somewhat bigger than the others. I wish they release a PoC version, or something more modern and cool. Btw... Repeater is not even in the same league of RnR and Roadblock!

So nice WeaponXCustoms, this is what I was talking about, this is the character I would want to have, I should have you make another one like this for me and even a Dodger or Stretcher, your customs look fantastic ;)

So, just because they can't sell the name internationally doesn't mean the figure can't be created, named and renamed as necessary. As you already point out Benchpress could pass with that thing called "Imagination" so there's really no reason to think that Hasbro can't release Rock'n Roll in an updated take on the Version Two sculpt if they really wanted to.
The International claim really holds no merit and sounds more like an excuse to be lazy. As Renegades is being aired internationally they can't have him appear in the show. Kids want figures of characters they see on the screen. Not of characters they've never heard of. We may see "Benchpress", but he's not really Rock n' Roll. The fact that he's no longer a musician changes his character. Sure he works in a toy collection that way because you just ignore the "Benchpress" and view him as "Rock n' Roll". However, they won't be releasing two versions of the character, one called Rock n' Roll in the states, the other something else overseas because they aren't going to make two TV shows. That should be pretty obvious. Now if we end up seeing a small collector based 30th Anniversary line that has a domestic only release next year, he may make a comeback. I doubt it, though. Until they either clear up the trademark issue, if they even care, or Joe gets reeled back in to a domestic only product, which I don't see happening, I think he's been retired.

Why can't RnR be sold internationally?
Also, Roadblock FTW! I doubt we WON'T be seeing him in the next wave or so.
