I always liked him, he fit in the JoeVerse just fine imo.
I had him as a kid (still do) and I have the 25th version. |

Hahaha, agreed. I never really thought about his place in the Joe universe as a kid or now, even. He's just yet another crazy-ass Cobra member.
I just found him at TJMaxx a few weeks ago and had to buy him. He fits great with my very small ROC/POC display, IMO. |

He's a goofball, but I think he's a necessary part of the story. Cobra has the potential to be very scary and dangerous, but goobers like this guy keep them from being too scary.
-------------------------- Meanwhile at the Terrordrome... Cobra Commander: Gentlemen! I have decided that it's a perfect time to destabilize the financial sector, so I want to hear your ideas for attacking New York, specifically Wall Street. Baroness? Baroness: A sarin gas attack in the subway underneath the area would cause the perfect amount of chaos, Cobra Commander. Without the subways the streets would be jammed to a standstill in the evacuation! CC: Hmm... not bad. Destro? Destro: Using the leftover nanomites we could demolish the buildings selectively, trapping a large section of the population, not only interrupting the trading but forcing the city and nation tpo spend billions of rescue and evacuation. CC: The nanomites?! Well, I admit it is a good use for them. Dr Mindbender? Dr. Mindbender: Kidnapping a group of businessmen and using the brainwave scanner to condition them into going to work, and at the same time massacring their coworkers and then takinng their own lives before being caught. The scanner leavs no evidence, so the authorities would be left powerless to explain the phenomenon, and the fear of random violence at the workplace would cripple the financial institutions! CC: Hmmm... interesting. I like the potential fear and panic of the unknown there. Tomax? Xamot? Tomax: Such messy and obnoxious methods. Why just bankrupt them of their money-- Xamot: --when we can steal it from them? Tomax: Extensive Enterprises has just aquired a popular software maker. Using their established infrastructure-- Xamot: --we can forcibly corner the market in trading software, and waiting until just the right moment-- Tomax: --empty Wall Street's collective bank accounts into our own, and in one fell swoop-- T & X: --bankrupt the entire private sector in the process! CC: Not bad. I like any plan that makes me rich in the process. Major Blud? Baroness: Televise his poetry. Everyone: *laughs* Maj Blud: Oh... haha. All a you and your fancy li'l schemes. All you need is some semtex planted in the right places on sequential delays, and boom! When the rescue workers come in? secondary charges! Boom! Cheap, simple, and effective! CC: Hmmm... a bit pedestrian, but it could work as a backup plan. How about you, Croc Master? Croc Master: Crocodiles. Everyone: .... CC: And...? Croc Master: Big crocodiles? Umm... with... lasers? CC: *facepalms* -------------------------- One of these days I gotta get back into writing fanfiction. Last edited by Zefram; 11-20-2010 at 01:09 AM.. |

he's a total Dreadnok. Born and raised and abandoned in the flordia swamps. He survived off the land, and has a healthy disrespect for civil society. That comes from the first humans he came in contact with after a couple years living on his own in the swamp were the Dreadnoks.
He has limited vocabulary but makes up for it with excessive strength. Keeps Gators as pets. He's somewhat more loyal to Cobra than the Dreadnok mercenaries still he spends most of his time with the misfit Dreadnoks because he doesn't fit in with the rank and file Cobra troops |

I never understood the love that people have for the Croc-Master. He just looks like a gimp with an animal fetish to me.

I never really thought he was that cool until I saw how they used him in G.I.Joe: Cobra (or was it Cobra II?). However, I still haven't bought the figure. Even for $3 at Marshalls. Maybe Cobra Commander keeps him around for "the arena of sssport!"

His character motif fits in with the Dreadnoks, same with Copperhead.
In my lil' verse, they both aren't really cut out for the more paramilitary Cobra, but get along well with the noks, so they brought them in. Night Adder now has Croc's job as head of security. The noks, just like Firefly, Wraith, and the Night Creepers are only hired on a per/ mission basis, and are mainly gun runners for Cobra's southern missions

In my Joeverse he's a baddas Commando that specializes in swamp warfare. The whole crock thing is just his codename because in his free time he keeps them as pets and trains them. He makes great money working as an operator for Cobra so he can afford a lavish hobby.
