I was young and my dad would spoil me with G.I. Joes. He loved them to and made him feel like a kid again. The main memory I have is getting The entire Tiger Force for Christmas. The Tiger force was full of Joes that I didn't have yet. Recondo and Flint I was really excited about. Flint was my favorite and I never had the original figure.

I have so many that it's hard to choose just one memory that would be my favorite. But I think I'd have to say it's a tie between the Christmas I got my first Joes (XMas '83, got a Cobra, a Cobra Officer, Tripwire, the MOBAT w/Steeler and the HISS w/Driver) and my birthday in '84 (I got the WHALE w/Cutter, the Chameleon w/Zartan, the Stinger w/Driver, Duke, Spirit and Scrap-Iron). Another fond memory of mine is when the new series IV came out in the summer of '85. I remember being so excited seeing the Dreadnoks, the CG and all of the others! Good times!

Probably everytime my dad would take me to Lionel Playworld.
First, my dad drank... alot. On the rare occassions when he wasn't (and I had earned some money from mowing grass or something), he would take me to Lionel Playworld. One part is seeing a toy isle with nothing but Joes as far as the eye could see (or a kid's eyes anyway). The best part, however, was it was time that I got to spend with my REAL father, not the man that alcohol turned him into. Thank God for that bad car wreck. He almost killed himself but he hasn't drank in 15 years. Moreso than the actual buying of toys, the best part was the time spent with a little boy and his father. Shockwave |

My favorite joe memory was when i got my first joe vehicle the cobra fang II and night creeper to drive it, man i never stopped playing with that night creeper, the crossbow, the two unique swords, that was so sweet. many hours spent with that. I turned everything into bases lego's cardboard boxes, spare wood, That is why i sure hope we get at least one playset for the 25th it would be awesome. Guess my story isn't as cool as the previous one .......thanks for sharing that personal memory man that is a great story.............

I do not have old memories of G.I. Joe but I do like the experience I am having now.
When I find a figure I am really looking for OR when I see a character from an episode I JUST watched, ZARTAN and THE CRIMSON TWINS.

Seeing the first commercials on TV, then finding the action figures at K Mart one day when my grandmother took me there. I was able to get her to buy me Flash. The next week I had Breaker and the RAM. For Christmas that year she bought me the VAMP/HAL Sears pack. She bought me the APC the next year and the WHALE the year after that. Grandma bought me a lot of Joes.
