I've always liked army men. When I get more space I actually plan on getting some. So in effect, the RAH line was like ultimate army man line. Plus you couldn't be the accessories.
I was or rather into to the file cards. It gives you some insights on the characters and what they can do. Personally I'm into their secondary military speciality. Things like Roadblock is a gourment chef. Doc is a pacifist, or Scarlett's is classified, which means you can have Scarlett doing damn near anything you want. That's one of things I wish Hasbro would do, get back into the realistic military aspect of the line. I would to have an Apache or a Blackhawk. Or have some of Cobras equipment be some of that old Warsaw Pact gear, like a MiG or an old Soviet bloc tank. |

Really, Joe was only loosely based on 'realistic' military stuff for the first couple of years, and even then they took broad liberties
Costs and other factors keep hasbro from doing true 1:18 military vehicles and figures, which is a shame, because they have some of the best articulation of any figure line out there right now. I would LOVE to see Hasbro do some sort of "Tribute to the Troops" boxset or something with 3 3/4th versions of modern soldiers (Army/Marines/Navy... Coast Guard...). Talk about army builders.

Basically the '94 30th Anniversary Action Team, but with modern unis and format. |
