Honestly, it depends on what you're selling...
The vintage stuff seems to be doing fairly well still. The 25th stuff only seems to do relatively well if it's a variant figure. |

umm...it's probably due to it being summer. Summer has always been a low ebay sales time for years now

Well I can't speak for everyone, but I have a few factors contributing to what I do or don't buy these days...money is the most important factor.
I lost my PT job and my Full time is closing next year, and whats worse is I know others are in worse shape than I am. Next is the TF:ROTF line is out so some of my cash is funnelled into that line right now. Finally...and I know this isn't a popular view but I just don't want Modern's that badly. My collection began in 82, and ended with the 25th mold. I only buy certain Modern figures that were never and likely will never see issue in the old ARAH mold, or figures I will never reasonably priced obtain in ARAH mold....(Glenda). |

Bunch of things:
1 - economy 2 - everyone has what they want already 3 - insane prices on "rare" things It's a very limited market, even for vintage stuff, so there comes a time when people just aren't buying. All collectible markets have their ups and downs. For me, it's mostly not having the money to spend on collectibles. I have other things to worry about first in this economy and need to save money so when there's another work furlough (forced days off without pay), I won't be hurting like I was this last time.

I don't get it. I have been driving all over the town buying up everyone's ARAH collection. I think alot of people are broke... or are just afraid? Can't complain... I got alot of vintage stuff recently for cheap!!! there are so many garage sales in ohio right now.

Economy, summer season, loss of interest to name factors already named. I think loose stuff probably still sells well. I could see why your vintage graded stuff isn't doing as good.
