This is a call out to the entire GI Joe community to help decide the results of a design contest which will provide the winner with some real prize money, and potentially, a new (unofficial) army-builder to add to your collections.
Please consider each of the following entries and judge them based on the sole criteria of "Which of these designs would I MOST like to add to my (evil blue-shirted terrorist) army?" The winning artist will be receiving some prize money as well as (barring any unforeseeable problems) a prototype 1:18 scale figure based on their design. If all goes well, the community will also, eventually, be able to purchase these figures for their collections as well. Onto the designs! nathan92 M_renegade gentleman uberthawk |

I like option 3. There is something very "regal" about the helmet design, yet it's practical and tactical. Given it's "knightly" appearance, I can see Cobra bringing those to the field.

M_renegade's. I would love to have a dozen of those. Awesome urban warfare look.

I need names, I need to know how these guys would fit into my armor. Being cool looking isn't enough. I'm not going to army build something just cause it looks cool, I'll get one to display for that, I only army build if it's a worthy addition to the army.
So what role would these guys play? Equipment? Accessories?

So what role would these guys play? Equipment? Accessories? That said, the design request was to create a "new" standard-blue-shirt-infantry-soldier. Though, naturally, each collector will be able to choose for themselves how/if/why they fit into his or her personal collection and Joe-verse. I should also mention that this is part of a larger product, and that the figure(s) will be a pack-in bonus. Not that your decision should be affected by my production-intentions. The purpose of the poll is to determine which design the community would most like to see, period. WW

None of 'em match a standard trooper, all are geared out/equiped for Special Forces use. The last would make a great single character. All are great designs.

To be absolutely honest... i like them all.
I can see each on a different squad/team, seriously. They're all so different, that this is going to be a contest about general taste and preference, not the best design. To be absolutely cheeky...vote for me! To be honestly cheeky, i will refrain myself of voting t'ill last minute. ;) |
