I usually use my son as well though he is 18 months,I remember once this old lady cashier was telling me I shouldn't buy such a toy for a child his age because of the small pieces. I politely replied that's ok mam but she kept on about it so I started to get pissed. I had to bite my tounge out of respect because she was an older lady. I wanted to say"b... just ring my sh.. up and mind your own f,,,ing business" lol

i buy like a bunch of joes, come home... look at them and think AWESOME for about ten minutes... throw them in a shoebox, put it under the bed, do some cleaning, see the shoebox, and think.... what a waste of money....
i cant really justify it, wow... i think i just convinced myself to stop collecting them. thanks. haha |

I do at times. I'm 28 and I have 3 boys. I honestly buy myself more stuff than I buy for them most of the time. Of course they just break 80% of what they get. When I buy a big lot of stuff, I'll go through it and let them pick a few things I don't care about though. And I go all out for their birthdays and Christmas so I think it more than makes up for it.
My family always gives me shit for it but my wife USUALLY doesn't say much unless we are fighting about something, of course. Just remember, there are always worse things you could do with your time and money. I've sold of plenty of stuff from guilt and ended up regretting it. Just do what you like brother, its not hurting anybody. |

NO, YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE ONE OF OUR JOE BROTHERS ON A STORE PEG, THIS I COMMAND, jk, anyway its cool I collect with my three boys they are 11, 10, and 3, and they love it just as much as I do, I even get my wife to check out target for any I have missed, its not out of her way she works next door at costco, and who cares what anyone thinks, do they pay your bills, No, then FRAC them. Anyway happy collecting.

I feel guilty only in that, after a while, the rush kinda goes away and then I'm left with totes of toys in an attic that I don't know what to do with.
Example: I hunted down nearly all the Sigma 6 toys and displayed a few of the cooler ones (Cobra Firefly, SE, Windfire CC). Now? They set in a tote and I barely think of them. |

Frell no!
At first I was uneasy to commit to buying a toy after so long not buying any (last time i stopped collecting joes was around 1989). Now I buy a bunch of them, and other lines, several times a week. |
