Welcome all european Gi Joe collectors!
This thread is for those: who think, that is more possible to see an under a threat of extinction bengal Tiger in the middle of Europe rather than a POC figure in a Toy store. who are tired seeing only some roc figures in the shelves, really overpriced. (Personally, I am really sick of the 3-pack mars troopers, destro and baroness... I think I HATE THEM!!) who are tired afraiding of the customs office. who are tired paying more for shipping cost than for the actual item. who know the USPS services better than some US citizens. who have develope the virtue of patience (similar to Gandhi's level) by waiting their USPS first class international mail to arrive... So, this is a place to know each other, add a who..., share our experiences, to buy-sell-trade and general conversation! I am Tria, from Greece, but now I study and live in Germany. Let's make an EU for the Joes! PS: Don't worry... in this EU you dont have to pay for my country's debts... |

Hear, Hear!!
Hey if there's a Greek there should at least be a Dutchman... or this could be the premise of a really bad joke, in which case we just need to add a Spaniard or a Frenchman. Anyway I'm in!! Come one, come all

That's a good number.. As far as I know in Greece there are 3 or 4... The problem is that there are few european shops that sell gi joe, but they are really expensive. ( for examle G.I. JOE RENEGADES COBRA TROOPER 11CM ACTIONFIGUR | eBay ) My explanation is that they dont import directly from China-hasbro but through US retailers... |

Let's make an EU for the Joes! PS: Don't worry... in this EU you dont have to pay for my country's debts... Ok, admittedly I did find the first wave in ONE place. Shame it includes all the worst Robocop style figures. At least the price was right, seeing as they seemed to go straight on sale, 5 euros a piece. So I grabbed a Snakes and Stormy out of pity, even though I didn't really need them. Doesn't look like anyone else's been to that bin, or they keep filling it up. Having paid $70 in shipping for my last BBTS haul, I can totally jump on the shipping-bandwagon. When they arrived, I got to pay an extra 40 euros to customs, woo! Didn't want that money anyway. It seems like the shipping on Ebay is only getting steeper and steeper. Very little economy options these days for the bigger things. And everybody refuses to send international, so when something is finally available, I gotta buy it and to hell with the price. That's why I don't collect TF much. Luckily buying loose Joes in still cheap as heck if you keep your eyes open. |
