questionable if my boys will want them. they like joes, especially during the 25th bonanza. we have several customs we did with eachother that i'm sure they will keep and i know my wife will hold on to some. she said she couldn't bring her self to get rid of them all despite having no affinity to them. 75% will i'm sure be given away or sold. 20% are customs that i hope would be kept, lots of memories in those, and my wife says she'll hold onto a small number. i'm ok with most of the stuff being given away. i've given a large number of joes away already so it would really be in keeping with my collecting/giving style. if they can make any money from them, happy for them. i don't see a lot of value in my collection as i don't collect for investment. i'm doing much better than my wife's farmville collection in that regard though i could always leave instruction that anything not kept be offered up to the 'tank'. might be easier to give away to fellow collectors than leaving them to figure it out themselves. i've already done this with my RC stuff. anything not kept will be offered up on an RC site to whomever wants it.
good topic and interesting to see how others may deal with what i'm sure will be an awkward situation of having to face and deal with large quantities of plastic action figures.

I'm thinking I'll give all my figures to some fellow Joe nerd, just to make him grapple with the existential awkwardness: do I ignore all these batshit crazy customs that goofy bastard put together and use these figures as I see fit, or do I yield to some misguided notion of honoring the dead and keep his lazy kitbashes the way they are?

My collection goes to my friends, split between them in order of what things I have that they want the most and what they already have. That's up to them to determine. Anything that's left will probably go to the Internet and be sold off, profits going towards my family.
