I found this really intersting.
Hasbro Management Says The Hub, Film Strategy Remain on Track - The Hollywood Reporter The Hub wants to reach half the size of Cartoon Network over five years, and CEO Brian Goldner says he hopes to have an update on another potential "Transformers" movie over the next quarter. This could be great as long as they don't want everything aimed at children. Clue could be an interesting murder mystery, Micronaughts a new sci fi franchise and under the right conditions Candyland could be a pretty sweet horror film.

If they want to be as big as Cartoon Network, then they need to have a military based tv show...like Renegades...that airs consistently and isn't preempted every week for something else.
You were all thinking it. |

Agreed. I realize it's far fetched, but it'd be nice if they could get Renegades to compete with Clone Wars. Star Wars has such a Huge following, so I'm not suggesting that it'd be more popular or even as popular, but it has the potential to be just as recognizable. However, I guess Renegades is doomed...

5 years sounds like a realistic plan. They aren't saying as big as Cartoon Network.
For Now Star Wars are the military toys, when Clone Wars ends I exspect interest in Star Wars to drop, (It always had it ups & downs) Hopefully Hasbro can position GI Joe to fill the military toy void |

It seems strange to me that Hasbro would not grab Clone Wars for Hub itself. If they did that, zillions of kids would tell their parents to pick up Hub. I guess Clone Wars is owned by LucasArts, not by Hasbro, but it would seem to be a great way to get people to get into the Hub.
And seriously- if there was a Renegades/Clone Wars/transformers combo on thursday nights or whatnot, the nerd herd would watch every week. D

Clone Wars is most likely contracted out to cartoon network for the projected 5 year run. So unless CN drops Clone Wars it won't be moving.

Hmm, I like the Hub alright, but I think it's going to need a lot of updating and overall work, so I agree five years is a good plan. I'd like to see some more good shows, so far there isn't much that I watch.. just G.I. Joe and occassionally the old Batman cartoons. As far as the movies go I'd love to see those made as long as they are made well. So far Hasbro's movies have been good, but not amazing imo. Those are good choices though because they move outside of the action film format, which should prove interesting. I'm in as long as there is more G.I. Joe.
