I foresee a huge explosion. P. I. Joe gets all scarred up and mute, and the red head saves him. Oh, and Numbers, the pic I drew at the bar, is, essentially, the Casino Royale movie poster, I drew it from looking at it in the paper I was looking at while not looking for work when I should have been. All the shading is from the papers horrible attempt to photo copy color. I put up some Joe related art in a post in the art section. As always , You don't crunch numbers, Numbers crunches you.

Great work as usual numbers. I wonder what could be in the basement?

Don't worry, I'm not going to troll you guys. There's not going to be a guy with a computer and a crapload of figures. Trust me!

Good, I hope not. I am in a basement apartment...with a crapload of figures and a computer. *Checks behind nonsensical drapes for Canandians with numerical nomenclature fetishes.*

Appropriately enough, literally chilling in the basement with my computer and toys led to me becoming a Joe fan. I had set up a display of Snake-Eyes v2 and Storm Shadow v2 fighting on my second-hand Night Raven during the summer of '06 in anticipation of one of the best modern parody films which was coming out that year: Snakes On A Plane. I had some secondhand Joes growing up, read a few comics, and seen some of the show, but I didn't know about the stories, the characters, or the canon. Sitting there, looking at my Snake-Eyes figure, I thought, "What's this guy's story?" Some Google-fu brought me to YoJoe.com, where I read the comic summaries of some Marvel issues (#26 and #27, then a whole lot more), and I thought, "This is pretty rad." So I downloaded about 4 or 5 gigs of Joe comics, and got hooked. Loved the stories, love the characters, loved the art (I met Herb Trimpe twice, he's a great guy!). I wasn't expecting much from a toy-based comic, but there was so much depth and love in the book that I just had to keep reading. There was actual personality, not just "Oh no, a locked door; let's get the RPG guy to take it down." The characters' personalities were great, and Clutch is the man. That sketch on Scarlett's filecard page? The one with him sitting on a crate of apples, munching on one, while she aims her crossbow? LOVE it. Clutch became my favourite character thanks to a number of memorable appearances, but he's not just a jock who hits on Scarlett and Cover Girl and jokes around throwing snowballs and getting his pay docked - he saved the team's bacon time and again and his badass behaviour and leet driving skillz lead to the capture of Cobra Commander. Soon, I started buying the figures and the comics. Wanted to collect the Original 13 that they had remade for the VvV Classic Comic Packs (not that I would have been able to finish them, mind you). Eventually, the 25th Anniversary stuff came out, and I got my first handful of figures: Flash, Cobra Commander, Snow Job, Hawk & Scarlett, and #21B Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow. I dicked around with my camera and Photoshop, posted the result on a message board for my friends, and eventually, I had the balls to come here, and the first post of this thread was pretty much my first post here. Luckily, you guys enjoyed it, since I'm still here. Sorry for that TL;DR storypost. Numerical fetish? Nah, it's more like enthusiasm. Most of the time.

It's time for the June Q & A! Here is the questions:
Submitted by Monkeywrench: 1. Have you ever considered making Signatures for your readers? You have made some great sigs before, promoting your comics. I think it would be a great idea to share these or make special sigs for your readers to represent your work. I would definitely rock a Cap or BF sig. What do you think? Submitted by Monkeywrench: 2. The SDCC Sgt Slaughter has gotten a lot of interest from collectors. What’s the chances that he might show up in Ages 25 and Up? Submitted by Monkeywrench: 3. Marvel has been represented well in your Universe. What’s the chances of Dr. Doom showing up? His figure is pretty badass and would be a great addition to your comics. Submitted by Monkeywrench: 4. If you could go to any toy company and have them make 1 figure where you have complete control over, who would you make and why? What accessories would they have, what features and most importantly: How would you use them in your comics? Submitted by Sparhawk: 5. How will PoC, Resolute, and Renegades affect your strip? Submitted by Sparhawk: 6. Have you given any thought on making political hotbed statements, via your toys? Such as the BP oil spill, major sports games, and/or quotes of the day? We wanna know what you think. Submitted by Sparhawk: 7. Just how do you take your coffee? Submitted by Ctrl Z: 8. The P.I. Joe story is getting a lot of good feedback. How many more of these can we look forward to? And do you think you’ll ever be able to top it? Thanks to everyone who helped |

Just caught up on reading these. I really like that bar set up you had! Where's the table from?

I've been working on answering the questions, gang! I'll try to have the answers up before the next comic.
Thanks, Nekoman! The bar is a build-a-cantina accessory that came with some Star Wars Figures. Each figure had a quarter of the circle, a base, 2 stools, and a glass. I bought the 4 quarters off a friend. I knew they'd come in handy!
