At the end of May eBay is going to have a new opt-in return policy where they take control and give refunds, partial refunds and return shipping to the buyer. Then they bill us.
I think I'm almost done with eBay pretty soon if I get locked in to their new return policy control. I've heard this will make it easy for buyers to get partial refunds without returning the item. eBay: 2012 Spring Seller Update - Returns . Last edited by spiderpumpkin; 09-10-2012 at 02:31 PM.. |

But you still do not have to offer the returns in your auctions, if I am reading this correctly.

If you opt-in you do. And it looks like the opt-in policy will be a requirement in the future. Some are saying as soon as the fall seller update.
"Starting the week of May 28, eBay will begin introducing a new optional way to manage returns that is intended to be the long-term return solution for all transactions on eBay. This new process virtually automates returns for you and your buyer—even automatically refunding your final value fees." Key wording " that is intended to be the long-term return solution for all transactins on ebay". . Last edited by spiderpumpkin; 09-10-2012 at 02:30 PM.. |

I sorta caught that but in the FAQs, it isnt a requirement yet. Ebay charges fee off of your shipping now as I foudn out recently. I guess my plan to offload some vintage toys on ebay needs to be accelerated. Or I need a new plan of attack.

Sounds like a lot more trades/transactions will be happening in the Extensive Enterprises forum in the very near future.
Which I am A-OK with. Ebay, why do you hate your customers? Seriously, this type of action is just going to drive people to other avenues. |

Ebay sides against the sellers. If the buyer is crooked, all they have to do is lie and paypal, which ebay owns, freezes your money instantly. I am done with ebay at the end of this month. I am in a mass exodus right now unloading toys and affliction clothing like its my job!!
