I got some work done on the hasps. I still need to do some smoothing and double-check dimensions but they are about final now. There is still major work do do on the lid.

The lid is pretty well finished now. Time to start adjusting for printability:

Mr Zap,
Just wanted to let you know that I really dig what you are doing. Keep it up! In case you ever need an idea, i’d selfishly Like to see some electronic test equipment to go along with your articulated arm, like an o-scope, power meter, spectrum analyzer etc... would be pretty easy, just rectangular boxes with some switches, dials and screens. I’m not talking about the newer ones, think circa early 90’s when they still had an analog look and feel to them. A stereo would be cool too... -Travis |

Here are a few nice family photos:
I think I need to double check the measurements on the hinge plate for the fat .50 can since it looks a little slight compared to the other two. But this is a nice size comparison lineup at least. Quote:

Here is a piece of the next idea in the pipeline...can you guess what it's going to be?

Either a toilet seat or a drone.

How about a toilet drone?!
Yeah, it's a drone. Specifically, it's going to be an armed military quad copter drone based off of this one from the Ghost Recon: ALPHA mini-movie: I got a bit more work done on it today, so here is how it's looking so far: It will be "armed" with a silenced H&K MP7 just like in the movie.

Still in progress...scaling needs work between components and there are still plenty of details left to add:
I leveraged an existing public-domain model of the MP7, but it needs a lot of correction for 3d printing and also needs some general changes in order to match what's in the source material (silencer, laser sight, and some rail covers at the very least).

I'm taking off on a tangent here for a bit. There was a request for some USS Flagg parts in a BST thread and I offered to model some replacement parts for 3d printing if anyone was willing to loan me the original parts. Well, Xerofall stepped up and sent some Flagg goodies to me and I am in the process of modeling them now:
That's the mast cap, purge valve, and y-pin. I am going to tackle the deck clip next, followed at last by the radar tip. If anyone else has ideas for small-but-way-overpriced parts (Mauler gas grenade canisters, Stinger/Vamp steering wheel, or the Stun rear gun for example) that you'd like to see made available much cheaper for 3d printing, let me know. I'll need a loaner part from you if you want me to be able to model it, but I'm up for some fun if you are.

And the full set is prepped now. I just need to double-check all dimensions, make a few smoothing touches, and then order up the test print...
