I'm working on designing and building a GI JOE hanger diorama for a friend. I don't have any JOE vehicles. Can anyone tell me a width and height that would work for the hanger door? If the prototype works out a local sign shop is printing out my designs as two 24" inch wide by 8' foot tall peel and stick wallpaper strips. The graphics will be eight 1' foot levels. After the wallpaper goes up I'm building plastic shelves for each level to attach to the wall. If it works out, he will have a 8' foot tall by 24" playset to show off his JOEs and vehicles. The design can easily be changed to make different playsets. The shelves will also be interchangable, with different sizes, ladders, stairways, and catwalks.

You might check yojoe.com for some insight. It really depends on what vehicles will go in there, a skystriker or a bunch of firebats, and hiss tanks or Rolling Thunder. No need to make it big enough for the really big items, tho at that size you might be able to.

Each level graphic will be 12" tall by 24" in the corner of the room one on each wall. So you are basically talking 24"x24" by 96" tall. So if the left wall graphic has elevator doors the right wall could have solid walls with no doors or hanger doors depending on which of three graphics I design. I'm designing different size shelf platforms for each level. You pick which graphics to use and which wall to stick them too, then choose what size shelf platform you want and where you want to put it. Then add a staircase, ladder, or catwalk between platforms. If I can get this to work the sign shop is ready to produce the wall paper on demand for sale and I'll produce the shelf platforms in my workshop. Since I'm designing my own graphics I can copyright them and print as many as I want. It will basically be a do it yourself playset to fit in the corner of the room. You add your own logos to make it GI JOE or COBRA. It could also be anything else you want like Nick Fury's SHIELD, an X-Men base, Justice League, Hulkbuster base, the Avengers, X-Files, or Fringe Division.
