Well browing the old tinternet & came across this wonderful beastie.
The Vamp mold with slight rework & extended would be the perfect vehicle to base it on too. It`s called the RST-V build by General Dynamics. I believe a possible USMC Light vehicle (Multi ops). http://www.onr.navy.mil/media/images...stv/rstv_3.jpg I may attempt this myself when I have a couple of spare Vamps. Though curious to know if anyone already has? Though Ithink Hasbro should make this the 25th Anniv VAMP MKII |

There are a lot of MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles the military are starting to use or are in the works that would make some great toys, like the Cougar, the Buffalo (aka the Casspir, or the Claw), the LAV (aka Stryker or Piranha), the AVGP Grizzly (same as the LAV, minus 1 axle), the Cobra, the TPz Fuchs, the Fennek, the International FTTS, the OT-64 SKOT, the International MaxxPro, the Puma AFV, the Reva APC (very similar to the Mamba APC and RG-31), the HEMTT (armored version, in wrecker and cargo variants), the Nimda Shoet, the RG-12, the Plasan Sand Cat, MTVR (armored), the Pegaso BMR, the AGF Serval, the Panhard VBL, the GAZ-3937 Vodnik, the Renault Sherpa, the Komatsu LAV, and many others. I would be pretty stoked to see some of these made, although I won't hold my breath. I know the 25th line is going to be mostly retro repros updated. But if Hasbro comes out with a new line of Joes using the new body molds...

minstrelboy,
Wow that`s a nice line-up of armour that would be awesome to see made for joes & other 1/18th scale figures. The Striker is coming isn`t it via FOV at 1/18th? The Fuchs is done by chapmei too isn`t it? I mearly posted the RST-V due to it`s boxey 4 seater appearance to a VAMP. That it would be something that being so boxey & as a vehicle small though a 4 seater, well would be an awesome addition to fleets of Vamps & Humvee`s most of us already have. Though in hindsight, your probably right Hasbro won`t make this. As always do it yourself...LOL |

The Striker came out from bbi's Elite Force line, and can still be found. It was supposed to come out as an FOV vehicle, but for some reason they didn't make one - just the Bradley and M1A1. Maybe in the future...

do you have pictures of a bbi stryker? fov will have thiers in target this fall. someone found the info on thier unimax(sp?) website
in my opinion, joe/cobra needs a troop carrying vehicle. the stryker fits the bill perfectly, or the bradley or lav. both the latter would require addtional functional hatches and retooling for perfect fit though. or, hasbro makes all the figures so they can actually sit

The BBI Elite force one is the LAV-25 (turreted).
The Stryker has no turret & carries more troops (I think). |

there are different applications that the striker can be used - different armaments and such. several different countries use these (or their versions), and vary between 6 to 10 wheels, turret/turretless, etc. i wanted to make the rocket-squashing rails that i've seen on a lot of the more recent LAVs and put it on mine...

The RST-V looks alot like the old Dessert Fox, minus an axle.

Hi guys, Send your suggestions and support to us formally: [email protected], and cc [email protected]... this way both our U.S. office and our corporate office hear your voices. Meanwhile, Osprey has been a great partner during the development of this program, and have given us a significant list of colorful warriors to create. If Ages of Action is sold in successfully this year, we can more seriously consider suggestions for Wave 2. Appreciate the support and keep your emails coming! L. Gatdula Quote:

On the 1:18 Stryker---my understanding today is that it will be offered in a 2009 assortment...I know this is a ways off for you, and I've yet to confirm a release date, but it does look like this will be getting produced. |
