Be careful if you need to remove the head from the body. The ball joint is a weird one. The ball is on a very long thin rod inside the neck and not the actual figure. And the rod is flexible and has a weird circle with a hole through it at the end attached inside the figures chest via a peg. Boiling and popping the head off wrecks the ball joint.
Never seen any head attachment like it before almost broke the figure getting it out. The rod was so flexible it was nigh impossible to dremel out as it just bounces around as you try and drill it. Had to pry the top of the figure apart to where it could be pulled out with pliers. Once I got the peg out I was able to make a new one with some lego rod that fit a Joe head nicely though.

Good to know. I'm not going to fool around with Spin Master movie Penguin. Was curious why I never came across any pics of those disassembled.

Anyone made any Joe customs using the 4" Spinmaster "The Batman" figures. Amazon an other places are clearancing them out super cheap.
I'm currently working on using the Selina Kyle head for a female Doc custom and the body for a Doctor Biggles-Jones. I got a Penguin and unmasked Batman figure with the Batcave set and I can't figure out a Joe character to make with them though.

I've only been working with post-1990's parts for the past year, but I've made a point of working with all of the major 1/18 military- style figures. Below, I use a three point ranking scale across five attributes. The scale across all attributes is one to three, one being worst and three being best. My top 3 keep changing positions, but here's where I am at the moment:
1) Marauder (+2 quality, +3 price, +2 variety, +2 availability, +2 cross-compatibility 2) Boss Fight (+2 quality, +2 price, +1 variety, +2 availability, +3 cross-compatibility 3) Planet Green Valley (+3 quality, +1 price, +1 variety, +1 availability, +3 cross-compatibility) 4) Dime Novel Legends (+2 quality, +2 price, +1 variety, +2 availability, +2 cross-compatibility) 5) Modern Era Joes (+2 quality, +2 price, +3 variety, +2 availability, +0 cross-compatibility) 6) JoyToy (+2 quality, +2 price, +2 variety, +2 variety, +1 cross-compatibility)

Great answers from other folks here, I'll just add that I'm really enjoying the FMF Eagle Force figure bucks. They come apart and back together again with minimal effort and the sculpt proportions, articulation, and pose-ability are all excellent. Not yet enough variety in parts selection, and I've seen a few QC issues, but overall I think they're becoming my favorite 3rd-party figures.

Anyone know of a good 1:18-ish scale acoustic guitar (besides that stupid Roblox cat one)? I kinda want to do a Silver John custom, but it's pointless without a guitar. Thanks!

Look at the ReAction figures. The heavy metal ones have guitars. Most of the ones I have seen are electric guitars, but maybe one came with an acoustic one.

Check Etsy, a lot of people make Acoustic Guitars in various scales for Dollhouses. Like this one https://www.etsy.com/listing/8719665...search_click=1
