Yeah, they added the goofy animal sidekicks (who still make me laugh) for the kids but the storyline was pretty engaging for an adult. Never knew it was one of the things Sunbow moved onto after losing Joe until my buddy told me recently.
I was mainly just the Arnold movies and the Adventurer cartoon. Don’t think I saw any of the other versions. Wow, didn’t realize there was a spin-off of the Adventurer cartoon. Will need to check that out.

On page 10 KR, you started talking about glue. I haven’t tried everything, but I just tried out Loctite plastics and I really like it. You prime the areas with an activator (marker), let dry one minute, then add the tiniest bit of glue, hold it together (using something other than fingers), and voila! This gave a surprisingly strong bond on splicing strap segments together (I had used a bevel cut, but it still wasn’t much surface area. I’m impressed, and will use it again.
https://www.loctiteproducts.com/en/p...ingsystem.html Absolutely will be checking this out and thanks for the recommendation.

These are my customizing philosophies:
I like to use Hasbro ME body parts as much as possible. I try to avoid 25th/ROC parts as much as possible. I have used that ROC Pit trooper for my Falcon, and Mishka, but that's it. Its POC or later parts for me all the way. I try to avoid painting across joints as much as possible. I will use MTF parts as needed, especially the heads, weapons and suit bodies. I only have 3 customs that use all MTF parts, mainly due to my fear of painting camo, and white decos. (Wetsuit, OG tank driver, and Baron Iron blood). I like to complete some of the factions that the club started but never completed. I have completed the OG, Action Force, and Red Shadows. I guess I should try the Plague team as we are getting more black parts. I am a little late to respond and I have been a lurker in here for years. I finally started getting things together for customizing after years of thinking about it. The camo paint is what is holding me up. I have searched far and wide on the Internet and have finally found something I think will work. I have been waiting on some paint from China to come in for a while. I want them to look like current Camo Scorpian, I have a ton of money in Joy Toy already and decided to use them because they have almost the articulation of the 6 inch. I am also stockpiling the 6 inch to do custom scenes from the Joe comics until I say the release of the Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow models in the news recently. If my Camo idea pans out, I will share the method. It requires an airbrush and a brush and will take several days. Joints appear easy not to paint on Joy toys except for the crotch rub which I am concerned about. I have purchased weapons and other add ons from MTF. I am struggling to get head casts though that do not look like everyone else's work. I am also not ready to paint faces with any detail. I am planning on starting with the OG13 plus Shooter and maybe going back later and working on custom heads as needed. Last edited by Carsten; 02-06-2021 at 04:26 PM.. |

Your thoughts, I am thinking this would make a unique Snake Eyes commando and I will use the head for Hawk. The heads fit NP. Paint will be needed.

I have unfortunately used diaper crotches from the 25th figures. Slice is correct best to avoid them...but lots of my MASK figures have them simply because those were the parts I had. Not to bad if you aren't planning on sitting them or anything.
