Alright, so I caved and made a small order with Vortious. His parts are just too damn tempting. He does have a disclaimer stating to expect a 3 month wait, so as long as it's around that time frame, I'm good. Wish me luck! Or make fun of me and tell me I should know better, whichever works for you. ;)
Has anyone else ordered from him fairly recently? If so, how have things been with him lately? |

Honestly, if time isn't an issue, you should be ok.

From what I’ve seen, I would expect 6 months to 1.5 years.

It's kinda like a Kick Starter: you pay up front, wait a really long time, wait some more, hope there aren't any issues, wait some more, and then, just maybe, your items ship; otherwise you wait longer, and then they ship when you've completely forgotten what you ordered and why! Honestly, it's been a long time since I've ordered from Dennis, but he always delivered, even though the time frame was about the same as a KS!

The main desire was more an extra Mindbender harness for loose incomplete Mindbender bought a while ago from a goto Chinese ebay vendor back in the day. VCA was the only castor who has ever had this. 20221115_001303 by HissHissFangFang, on Flickr It is extremely soft rubbery material, but doesn't feel like it will break or flake. Lots of small but perceptible mold flash that i found difficult to cut off, but i imagine he spent much more time than i did removing the bulk of it. I had the same issue with some cast webgear from Raginspoon. In th end I am pleased. The delay in receipt also delayed a photo series I planned this same time last year, but the photos might be better for it. |

I'd totally forgotten about this. I remember when I finally got my order in. The jacket piece I ordered was made from a soft rubbery material, but sadly mine ripped and was useless. By that time I had jacket pieces from Indiana Jones figures, from pkba1577 on ebay and now Marauders, so it wasn't the end of the world.
