Flash - While I really like the ROC Flash, I felt the character's legs were too short relative to the arm length. I replaced Flash’s lower legs with the Resolute BAT lower legs using the boil and pop method to remove the lower legs and feet from both figures (I kept Flash’s feet ). Unfortunately, I don't know how to replace the leg pegs, so he is only useful for diorama posing. He is now correctly proportioned, and I feel the BAT lower leg gives the character a grittier look. I used the head from the ROC Grand Slam (molded flesh rather than painted) to add much needed personality to the character. If anyone has any suggestions on how to replace the lower leg pegs, I would greatly appreciate it.
Barbecue - Body: Aqua-Viper Officer; Head, backpack/hose, ax: POC Barbecue. I promise I'm not obsessed with the black and red motif. I just thought the red scuba gear could just as easily be fire fighter gear. This custom can be created in about 30 seconds. |

I like 'em. Great improvements. The BBQ, imo, looks better than the original, because I never really dug the colors.

Thanks. I was never that excited by the original barbecue orange, either.

very cool. that is a much better looking bbq than the tru one. As for the lower legs a thing screw driver and a pair of need nose pliers alogn with soaking the lower legs in hot water to pull the pin out and replace with the lower legs that will work for you is how i do it. ITs like popping the feelt or lower arms.

Blade, it sounds like you are talking about removing the peg. Is it the same process for re-inserting it?

Nice work. They look good, especially Flash.
As far as getting the knee-pin back in, I just stick it back in. Even when the plastic in the knees has cooled down, it's not difficult for me to pop the pin in and use a quick squeeze with some needle-nose pliers to get it all the way through. Good luck!

Yeah. Use the needlenose pliers to pop the peg back in and viola. make sure its still soft then you do otherwise it will be much more difficult.
