They all look great. My vote goes to the Sand Devil though.

COBRA H.I.S.S. IOD (Instrument of Destruction) VOTE HISS IODThe H.I.S.S. IOD is the deadliest of the tanks in the H.I.S.S. fleet. Its black paint is where it's similarities to any other H.I.S.S. end. Sure, it's loaded with firepower -- 2 side canons, a Hell-fire rocket on each side, a 50mm gatling gun underneath, 20mm nose canons and turret cannon, and even has 2 pulse cannons at the rear to provide a "parting shot". But its real destructive power comes from its stealth, electronics and defense. That black paint doesn't just look good - it is able to absorb or erratically deflect all type of waves, so it is invisible to radar and sonar. Its engine is also muffled and has its own coolant system surrounding it - so not only is it quiet, but its heat signature is reduced such that it would not be recognizable as a vehicle on thermal imaging. Its armor not only protects it from most light explosives, but it is able to withstand and EMP. The IOD has several cameras as well as a parabolic antenna, making it excellent for surveillance. As a matter of fact, this is the preferred vehicle for some of the more clandestine mercenaries that Cobra employs such as CANE or FIREFLY. CANE will often begin his missions riding out on the IOD with its crew (Hughes, the driver and Kettner, the surveillance specialist), gather Intel with them and then deploy to get his job done after which he rejoins the IOD. This vehicle provides him with the speed (faster than any other H.I.S.S.), stealth and firepower needed for any mission, and can back him up if things don't go as planned. Of all the innovations and technology aboard the IOD, Hughes and Kettner are most proud of the mp3 player hook-up for an iPod. Neither could imagine going into battle without hearing "Crazy Train" or "Armageddon It" blasting throughout the vehicle. COBRA COMMANDER loves this vehicle. "This is the truest snake that we have in our armament," he says. "You don't know it's there until it's bitten you." Parts used: Republic Fighter Tank from SW Nose guns are Devilfish guns Tank treads from Cobra imp Styrofoam block Some of the ROC spring-loaded weapons and parts from them "Cameras" are scopes from various guns iPod from "Dataframe's" webgear Dish from the Marauder Antenna from the SW Sand troopers Rear guns from Triple T Gatling gun from Marauder Ladder from Transportable Battle Platform

I'm liking the IOD but I vote for the Diamondback. The details give it a ton of character.

I had a similar thought when I first saw the tank at TRU. I don't think I could've pulled it off as well, though. Fantastic job on all the customs, but the IOD just looks like it could easily be a production piece.
I really like the detail and paint on the Sidewinder, and this has nothing to do with the customizer, but the scale is just too small for me. Great paint and decal apps, though, and major props for all the background and story info. A close second. |
