Well, I cant help myself, I see two really cool figures and no goram vehicle, I is a making me a ...firefly.
Got parts today from DOLLAR GENERAL and KMART and will update you on the status once I figure out how to make that neck piece. I have two snack containers costing 4.50 each and they will be the VTOL engines, the barn/cargo section amidships is a comparable sized container. The sled like truss that holds the Fireflys back end will probably be made out of wood and the back end section will be a round tapered plastic vase/planter of some sort. I want to be able to access the "barn"/storage compartment and of course the center greet/dining area along with a med bay, the bridge of coarse will hold two figures. I figure it will take about a month, but the big parts are easiest to get and Ive already started. Both engines need mods to even come close to looking like firefly, so that means, mapping, cutting and painting. Id like to thank Knighthawk for reminding me how much I really miss that show. Any suggestions on the flying smaller ships would be appreciated. I guess those small contoured snack dishes might work. If anyone finds anything, please lmk. Glad I could help inspire. Can't tell you how long these guys sat in my to-do bin until inspiration finally struck. Keep us updated on your project, and I'll update you when I get River going.

Will do, looking for different bowl sizes and plastic tapered planters. She will be a bit bigger than the BIG MF, but thats fine by me.

SgtMajor - a friend of mine at Joe Customs and Trigate - Cap - has talked about possibly doing a Serenity also. Would really love to see a few projects like that happen.
Wesitron - thanks mate, glad you like. Just watched the clip from Castle where he's putting on his space cowboy costume for Halloween. Very cool. his daughter says "didn't you wear that like 5 years ago? Let it go Dad" lol. |

Super sweet! Now all we need is a 1:18 Serenity to put 'em in!
