I've posted these in my best of the 80s thread as well, but let's honest Big Jim and his Pack can't be contained in a thread dedicated to the 80s when their awesomeness radiates from the 70s.
So as I've done before I dipped back into the 70s to bring some of the bigger action figures into modern 4 inch scale. This time I focused on Big Jim and the Pack. They were a ridiculously awesome toy line from Mattel in the 70s. Again a little before my time but once I came across them I wanted to make them The Pack With Zorak Big Jim Warpath The Whip Torpedo Fist Dr. Steel Zorak

Great! Mattel needs to retro the Pack asap. Major Matt Mason as well.

These are really nice!
I remember the Wild Pack advertisements in the comic books. The older brother had a lot of these as a kid. (Rescue Rig, Camper, Sky Commander, and a few others) The loose components ended up in my play pile. I never knew where they were from until a few years ago. |

All of them are beautiful.
I love the striped top on Torpedo Fist. And that Zorak is very impressive.

I only learned about Big Jim and pals a few years ago, through joeaday.com, if I remember correctly.
Seeing you flesh out these way-down-the-rabbit-hole obscure characters is delightful. Perfect recipes, sculpting, and paints. You nailed it. |

No, but if I was going to make one of his vehicles it would probably be the Corvette. Big Jim and The Pack make everyone look like dweebs to be fair. I mean the names alone should strike fear into people. Quote:
Thanks. I don't recall how I came across them, but once I did I knew I wanted to attempt to make them in this scale.
