This one is pulp-adjacent. I've been a fan of Mike Grell's Jon Sable: Freelance since 2004 when I picked up the novel. I found out later it was a comic series and tracked those down and love them. I had some spare parts and said screw it. It's a fairly simple custom to put together...right up until you realize you have to paint his face. Oh boy, that was a challenge. Thankfully I had reference material but it wasn't easy. It's mostly Boss Fight parts, with the gun holster coming from a MTF leg harness and the Mauser from a Winter Soldier figure.
I still have that novel and a friend gave me his first appearance. The legs are kind of loose at the top. When I connected it to the crotch piece, they're wobbly. Does anyone have this issue? If so, how do you fix it? |

Great looking custom my man! I may actually be looking into making one as well as I really dig the character. Nice choice of parts, boots are also BFS?

Don’t know the character but judging by those comic images that head is just right. Nice job on this!

Thanks everyone!
I think I've found a solution to my wobbly leg problem. Someone recommended a KiKi fix loose joints bottle. I've seen a few videos on Youtube of people trying it out on various toylines, so I ordered myself a bottle. When it arrives, I'll give it a try and let you all know how it went. |
