Found this online, its gonna have a Special Weapons Action Force section too (hopefully)... Action Force The Battle Years book, interesting stuff, click the link and take a peek if you fancy it!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...e-battle-years Side note - we have nothing to do with this project, in any way, shape or form, just thought it’ll be cool to post up here, as its pretty much running the same time we have started our thread here! Action Force Special Weapons Force customs are quite awesome dudes! They truly reflect your love for this unproduced line. I grew up with the original Action Force line but never knew of the SWF so it's awesome you've dedicated a thread to this. Recreating those characters using MTF parts is an extra bonus IMO. Keep them coming as I'll be among the first to be checking it out!

You guys are killing me with the Action Force stuff! It all looks so awesome! Love that you have a community thread started, seeing some AWESOME stuff in here already! Really enjoy the history lesson on it as well.
Love the customs shown from everyone. AF80’s- that special mission Bombardier.....just awesome! I didn’t realize he had other decos or planned ones so love seeing it because i was a fan of his the second the Club releases their version. Then his drone and missile launcher, so cool. Then the battle tank.....EPIC! Love your team shots as well! All of those figures look so cool. Lee- another great batch, Tech Savy, your female Bombardier and the original, all made beautifully out of Marauder parts! Love all of the accessories with your group as well. Gives them such a cool, distinct team look. And that Bombardier collection!? I thought I was the coolest kid on the block with just my Club figure and one Black Major custom. Then you drop a few o rings and the Club release open & carded! Love that collection! Thanks for sharing that and all the history links for Action Force! 46Zone- love your group using Joe parts! All of them look great and the science officer & riflemen are badass! Then that Jeep......oh man is that epic! Love the color scheme, gun on the top and your group all loaded up in it, just a brilliant display.

Thanks for all the comments HnR, glad you are enjoying everyone's customs so far.
Bombardier is the character that most GI Joe collectors will know, although maybe not that the one they know was the second proposed colour scheme, but I think Boffin is the character that everyone should want in their collection, it is thought to be based on Palitoy chief designer Bob Brechin who came up with many of the cool toys from that line. I think that mini tank is my favourite thing I did for this project, it was something I worked on while waiting for the body parts to arrive. |

Yeah, don’t know what come over me buying so many Bombardiers lol, I’m not even a MOC collector really, just had to with that one. Hey, got a special mission for ya, howz about making a SWF figure and posting it here and your thread of course? Be cool to see, no rush haha. |

AF, yeah, lovin’ that SWF SW vehicle you did, it just pops right at you and your right, every Joe/AF collector needs a Boffin in their collection, its a pity the club isn’t still about, they could of made that one sooner or later!
Sheat, forgot to scan those proto pics lol, I’ll do that today! |

Thank you for making this thread - it's fun and creative.
Our family has been big Action Force fans since we moved to Germany in 2009. I raised my sons (ages four and five at that time) on the vintage Action Force/Red Shadows toys, so it became a cherished part of their childhood experience. We were also collecting GIJCC exclusives, such as Blades with the SAF Copter in 2009, and later the Vacation in the Shadows boxed set in 2010. The Special Weapons Force actually was my least favorite of the Action Force units, but the 2009 story about how Dave Tree solved the Bombardier mystery intrigued me, and the article later published in the 2012 Action Force 30th Anniversary Commemorative Special drew me in further with BFTB and the Roll Out Roll Call (RORC) show. This custom Boffin action figure pictured below was part of the Action Force 5 pack boxed set souvenir exclusive by Raginspoon that also included Eagle, Phones, the Doc, and Hot Jets for the 2014 RORC 5 show in Southampton, U.K. (a limited edition of only 25). Also that year the GIJCC released Bombardier during the second Figure Subscription Service, so I placed him along with Boffin for the photo. That's all of my Special Weapons Force, and I've never really though about expanding that unit any further.
