Dude I have missed some stuff lately. You dropped some absolute knockout customs. Bison is fantastic and it’s even better that you did both versions. I was starting to work on a Hector Ramirez but your build is great and the head choice is perfect. Now I need to pick up a Zorro to complete mine, lol. And the Annihilator... just a perfect figure in every way. Someone is a lucky guy to add that to their collection ;)

Haha, yeah, Dod Ear! Muscle car over tow truck all day long!
Totally wasn’t expecting anyone to back me up on that one! Haha! Quote:

Haha, thanks, I appreciate it! That second Bison has been high on my want list for a while now so glad I could do him justice! That Boss Fight Zorro is worth it for that extra head and because it’s just such a great figure! Can’t wait to see your Hector and I’m sure you’ll love the Zorro too! Haha, thumbs up, my friend! Always great to hear!

Fun one for me today, it’s a figure I WANTED for so long in the modern collection and one that really let me try something new. Haha, not sure if they’d want credit for this neon monstrosity but Axon & Flint_Rocks get some credit here because seeing their sculpting bits are what finally convinced me to order green stuff and then to just go all in on a mainly sculpt custom.
So like a lot of early troop builders, the original Cobra Eel was an awesome figure that just never made its way down to me. So I watched the cartoons always wanting a Cobra diver and it wasn’t until the v2 Eel came out that Cobra finally had an answer to Wet-Suit, Deep Six, etc in my battles. I could not have been happier, just something about the diver suit suit with fins, the cool red visor and then the awesome robot shark accessory called to me immediately. So just so many unique qualities with this one that the only way to get it done was to commit to sculpting pieces. Definitely learned a lot during the process and looking at him top to bottom, I definitely think I got better as I went along. Room for improvement but I’m really loving the end result. This started as a blue Boss Fight blank, sculpted all of the bits on the head & body, then added some Marauder gear to finish the look. Realized while taking the pictures that I was so focused on the sculpting that I didn’t realize his entire head should have been neon....do like the break in look though and the head is one area that I felt could be improved so I’ll probably do one with the correct head down the road, maybe use this as an Officer. The arms I went a little more Batman than eel with but I love the exaggerated look on him. Haha. Was having way too much fun because those were the first parts I did. Cobra Eel v2 Taking down Battle Corps Wet-Suit: And some work in progress pics:

Bright neon colors....check
Figure I've never heard of....check Meets my Hit & Run custom checklist. LOL! Really cool custom and great job for your first time sculpting. My first few attempts were horrible and you definitely went all in on a figure that required sculpt all over the body. Sculpting is a rabbit hole now there is no going back. Just when you think you've got it figured out you learn more little tricks. And you had to do an awesome water shot making it appear that he was underwater and show up my Tigersharks picture LOL

I loved these guys in my youth. I’ve been looking for a way to make one without massive sculpting, so kudos for putting the work in. Clever use of mtf parts, as well. Very cool stuff.
Really like the underwater backdrop, too

I like the blue head as well. Don't worry about the exaggerated fins on the arms. That's probably how it would've looked had this figure been made in the 25thAstyle.

Such a fun figure to have and definitely learned some lessons.....main one being, water and the smooth end of the sculpting tool are your friends! Also had a ton of fun doing it so positive experience all around. Looking forward to doing more. Hahaha, sorry! Don’t underestimate $2 worth of scrap book paper! But your Tigersharks pic is still bad ass! The paper aisle in the craft store is one of my best friends. Walking out the one day some lady saw us and was like, “oooh, I love scrap booking!” My wife looked at her and said, “it’s for his toy pictures.” The lady didn’t even respond back! Quote:
Thanks! Haha, love taking the water pics with these sheets, always come out looking great, especially with the flight stands! Quote:
Haha, yeah, in 25th he would have gotten Nemesis Enforcer’s big razor arms as the fins so that’s true. The exaggerated look is super fun too so I’m happy with them. Fits in with my other goofy customs. Haha.

You really threw yourself into working the sculpting pieces here. Amazing work bro! I really like the break in neon with the creation of the blue head.
The taking down Battle Corps Wet-Suit scene is awesome as well and that firing the gun effect is insane. Love all your action scenes |
