Hahaha, I remember growing up always being extra cautious not to lose his helmet because the Link (from Zelda) with a mullet look always seemed off.

More great work, Orzo. I wish Marauders would release some diver's gear.

Ha! That is the same version of Wetsuit as I have in my customs collection, but I used a BFS Obsidian Blank with MTF yellow harness, some odds and ends pieces, and to top it off, of course, the '92 Wetsuit's helmet... It's a classic! You did a good job of recreating the figure with a MTF figure and parts.

-Todd Shakka85 Haha, making this version of Wet Suit is almost a must for everyone, such a great figure! That’s a good idea to use one of their black blanks as the base for him, do you have a pic or link to it? Don’t think I saw your version before & couldn’t find it when buzzing through your thread / Flickr.

Dang, with the formula you used for Sci-Fi v2, you could similarly try to make the 2001 Laser Viper(which uses the same mold as Sci-Fi, but with a different head)

That’s a good idea! Might have to look into making him down the road. Thanks for bringing him to my attention, wasn’t really familiar with that version or some of those 2001 guys. So much stuff came out between 94 and 25th anniversary when I wasn’t buying anything that a lot gets overlooked.

The head would be simple, to the point where if you wanted to skip painting his bandanna, you could just get a head from the red Resolute COBRA Troopers. An idea for the helmet could be the POC/50th Rock Viper helmet.

Up next is the start to a group I always wanted to order from the mail away catalog but for whatever reason we just never did growing up. The International Action Force with the first member up being Spirit v4. Got this idea for Spirit from the Boss Fight customizing class because I never realized how well some of their pants would work for Joes. So I ordered some parts & waited hoping everything would come together when it arrived. The day the parts arrived a comment by Shakka85 had me in his thread where I saw he already did a modern Spirit using these legs. Haha. So now I knew it would work! Gonna have to circle back to his version because after having the original in hand again to do these photos I definitely have to get a V1 done. This is the Boss Fight Vandar body & head with an altered Marauder 86 vest & headband which were both painted. The 86 vest works great with the figure once you get his web gear off, just need to trim the collar off because his head sits low. When I do a v1 I might revisit this one and add some paint apps to the legs. Just didn’t want to go tan pants with him right out of the gate because if I use this build for v1, I want to make sure they are not too similar. Plus the Boss Fight paint job is really well done.
