That’s a solid repurposing and beautifully painted to boot.

Great execution on your divers!!! Really like the repainted fortnite figure. Was Hasbro thinking about fishing lures when they made these?

Great vision to see Deepsix out of a fortnite character. I’m really enjoying the neon water battle, haha!

Appreciate it, thanks! Haha, thanks! Thanks! It’s one of the better Fortnite figures so was glad I found a use for it. Haha, there were definitely times with this one where I really didn’t think the paint job was going to work so appreciate that! Quote:
Thanks! Usually find them pretty difficult to merge with my Joe’s so glad I got one done. Quote:
Haha, that one was fun to put together, especially because I got to start it on the Battle Platform which I love. ————— Thanks again, everyone! Hoping to have something finished for tomorrow, pretty close, just need some finishing touches.

I definitely enjoyed the Evil Headhunters but boy I'm just amazed at how you manage to switch gears like nothing!
Your choice of using Fortnite figure as a base is quite ingenious as that gives it the right amount of bulkiness to start building a a true deep diver! I've looked him up, being not so familiar with this particular version...man you've nailed it! I really like the added blue on the diving helmet vs yellow in v4 and then boots, arm/web gear look so cool! I enjoy this so much, well, figure and underwater action all together! |

They have sort of odd builds so they don’t always work with Joes but this one I really felt could work as a diver so cool to see others agree! Haha, especially when that diver is painted pure neon. Really happy with my decision to add some more breaks in the color and love those pics too! Always appreciate you stopping in!

So far I’ve done some blends of Mortal Kombat figures but not one that was too accurate to any one look. Shang Tsung has always been one of my favorite characters in the series because of how great he is in the games and how ridiculously amazing he was in the movie.
I think I said with my Jax that I missed out on picking up any of the Mortal Kombat figures growing up but I did pick up two over the years at toy shows. One of those figures that I found was the original Joe release of Shang Tsung, which was awesome because he was one I really wanted and it also only cost me $2.50! So as one of the two looks I really wanted to have of him in my modern collection, I started thinking about how I could do this more and more once I got a head that I really liked for him. So full Boss Fight build here with a decent amount of sculpting to hide the blank look a bit. Started off with the awesome old man looking head that they did which I think is perfect for Shang Tsung. Then took a blue BF blank, sculpted his boot armor, wrist gauntlets and glove armor, a collar, a belt with a sash and then I also used some green stuff to smooth out some of the muscles on the thighs and chest. Chose to go with a sculpted bit for the sash instead of cloth because I really liked how Slice had a dynamic look to his Storm Shadow’s sashes. Then added some Marauder webgear to finish the look. Once the sculpting was done, hit him with some bright blue and yellow paints for the body and webgear. Then some bronze paint that I just received for the armor bits and his knife. End result is something I’m really happy with and who I think fits perfectly with Ninja Force and my official Mortal Kombat cyborgs. Shang Tsung Showing off some of his moves: With my other warriors of Outworld: Then taking on poor Jax: And a WIP pic:
