Sonya look dope man. Always liked here more military less police look.
I got a challenge for you . I’d really like to see your take on Kenshi. His design and story are one of my favorites and since your on this mortal kombat trip( which I’m totally digging) let’s see a bad ass Kenshi man! Hmm, Kenshi wasn’t on my list but I did start to enjoy the character when they gave him the bearded look and then he does have some awesome alternate costumes. Saw one that isn’t like anything else I did so....challenge accepted! Haha, not sure when but I’ll start keeping an eye out for cool builds for the one outfit I’m drawn to. So definitely will see him at some point. Thanks! Loved taking those pictures! All these shots are making me really want to load the game up. Definitely a fun change making some of these characters while working towards building some momentum towards Joe’s again. ————— And finished off another block of nine for the Table of Contents one Page One! This was such a fun group because I got to jump around a bit with some video game characters (some that were Joe’s but still), a Funskool figure, a version of a popular character that I hadn’t seen before, one of my favorite MASK figures and a favorite childhood Joe of mine. Plus I also really unlocked how much sculpting will help me get some of these guys I still need done created so just a lot of good stuff for me personally with this group.

Your Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter customs look sweet! And you using MTF parts means they can be copied (but probably won't be as good as yours lol).

Thanks! Really fun group to make! Haha, yeah, always nice to give back with some cool builds / ideas that others can borrow even if they don’t want to jump all the way down the rabbit hole of full paint jobs and whatnot. Haha. If you make any of them, would love to see pics!

Yeah, like her more military than police too, but love the MK3 outfit so that was always my preference for her. Throwback to her original outfit but the additional colors just make it pop so much more.

That's a really cool version of a MK Sonya!! I know you're planning on making adjustments to align her with the original version, but IMO she already looks badass judging by her looks and action/karate moves!

Yeah, I really loved this group. The Hondo and Bison v2 are some of my favorite paint jobs, hard for me to pick between those two. Then I’m so impressed that I figured sculpting out well enough to get an Eel v2 done. Those are probably my top three in some order with this group, but then there are a few right in their heels here too so just a block off nine that I’m really proud of. Quote:
———— Thanks for the comments, everyone! As always, much appreciated. Got some sculpting done this weekend so should be some fun stuff to show off starting Monday!

—————— Up first this week, one that I absolutely just NEEDED to have in the modern collection. I stared at Boss Fight stuff for hours trying to figure out what parts I could use to get him done before ultimately realizing that I’d have to learn how to sculpt a bit before I could really unlock his formula. So this was a super fun one for me because I apparently only know how to sculpt by fully jumping into the deep end with a figure who needs bits added to every part of the figure. So I absolutely loved the 86 movie, loved the original Cobra La Guard figure (even though ours uses Gung Ho’s arm....actually didn’t know until I got older that he didn’t just have one regular arm, haha) and I loved the NES game and these guys were all over each of those so I just always loved the Cobra La Guard as a character. It’s one that I knew at some point I would have to make in order to be able to call my modern collection complete at some point. So this build is a boss fight red knight blank, a tan elf armored head, a Marauder belt and then just a lot of green stuff. Haha. Finished it off with a nice fire red, a gun metal gray mix and a mix for the yellowish armored bits. Really love the end product, just so unique and fun to make & look at. Really got to push my sculpting ability to the limits with this one and absolutely love that I really went all in on making this guy. Cobra La Guard With the cape look, I ultimately decided against the antenna because I just didn’t like how it was looking attached to the head I did: With my Cobra La group: Capturing some Joes: And an in progress pic:

Very solid, especially given that you’ve only just started to dip into sculpting. But you gonna have to drop build this guy!

Nice! Can't believe you haven't been sculpting that long. Great job and that is a huge sculpt job to take on. I wasn't doing that much sculpting on a figure until I had been doing it for a few years. Very impressed with this one.
