Trying out this portion of HISS Tank for the first time. Might get rough posting pics as I'm used to the TFW2005 sister site method.
Anyway, I'll start off post #1 with an image of the completed Tiger Force Timber and accompanying "Tiger Master" Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes is a simple parts-swap between various "Ross clearance" Classified figures. Timber is one of the white Timber figures from the second Snake Eyes & Timber sets that were on clearance a couple months ago. A quick dye job (that was too red for my taste) coupled with painting him white and orange plus adding the stripes. Is IMGBB.com still the favorite image hosting service? Seems like it has been 10 years since I have run across a website that required Photobucket or one of those old image hosting sites (and the ones I used now seem defunct). Cool idea. Nice execution.

This is really fun and well done!
imgbb.com works well for me. I just post the "BBCode medium linked" image. I haven't had a problem with that.

Thank yo for the comments. Still rather new to trying this beyond the most simple of parts-swap figures.
Does not seem like I need to create an account at imgbb.com? The project started off as finding some clearance Classified figures at Ross. TF Duke & RAM, Croc Master, TF Outback, TF Recondo, 2nd Snake Eyes & Timber set, etc. I thought the Super7 ReAction version of a Tiger Force Snake Eyes looked ridiculous and I could come up with something fairly close with a parts swap of Ross fodder. A few weeks later, I figured I could add an equally unhappy Timber to my already frustrated Snake Eyes. I spent a week dying, priming, and painting then at the last moment decided a little dio-story to go along with this wouldn't hurt. Once Timber was nearly done, I decided Snake Eyes could use a tiger-striped sword to complete his look. Some Fortnite figure came with this sword and it seemed broad enough that stripes would show up. Why not change him up from the "Silent Master" to the "Tiger Master"? And some pictures of the various steps. Used the white version of Timber. A lot of RIT Synthetic yellow with just a drop of red (although it came out way more red than I wanted).
After the dye, it became clear that Hasbro did include white paint over portions of the white wolf. Exactly opposite of what I was looking for (wanted a white tummy like a tiger, not a white stripe down the back like a skunk). Also odd in that last picture, just one leg had the white highlights reversed from the other three. Never noticed this before. I also figured out that ever layer of clear-coat kept on causing the reddy-orage to bleed through my white. Took 6 layers of white compared to only 2 layers of orange paint until I was satisfied. The final layer of Clear/Satin sealer created a slightly glossy coat for the wolf although the white still saw more bleed through from below. Some comparison shots between the custom and the Hasbro versions. Just because I find the inclusion of a giant kangaroo to be equally silly. |

Poor se. I sont think even the battle corp would allow this haha. The tiger force timber though looks absolutely fantastic.
