Love the updated Viper. Might have to steal some of the recipe for a version of Mercer.

I know I'm in the minority but Crystal Ball was always one of my favorite figures growing up so, seeing what you did with him is awesome. That head, the parts and the paint job all work really well.
I can't find him in the thread, but I saw your Votar on Joecustoms and that's another one you knocked out of the park. That's another character that I really liked as a kid.

Wouldn't it be nice if the arm and shin guards on Marauder figures were just removeable parts? That way, if you want a t-shirt guy to have forearm guards you could just buy a set and slip them on, super easy, barely an inconvenience (quoting Ryan George/Pitch Meeting Guy)! That being said, I like both versions of your Viper, and both hold merit as being a part of your collection: one is the stripped down, fast hitting strike force member, while the other is the heavy armed, in the battle for the long haul member. Or may the light armored guy is the strike force, and the heavy armored guy is fire support/extraction team? Either way, both look the part of "Cobra Viper"!

-Todd Shakka85 Yes, sir, I do! Okay, not really a custom. More like a desperate attempt to call a kitbash a custom by painting some minimal details on an otherwise off-the-shelf LBC. This is a parts bin kitbash of the 2000s Oktober Guard Daina DAINA (V1): 2005

Next up is the Viper. I love the design and colors of the original figure. I debated for a good while over which arms to use. I really like the red armor pads on the Elite-Ops forearms, but I also wanted to try to get more vintage accurate. Then I tried the rolled up forearms. That looked fine and I was just gonna go with that, but I ultimately went with the T-Shirt torso as I felt it made the Viper look a tad more buff. Plus when I get another Viper together, I can make him African-American and have another example of diversity in Cobra
COBRA VIPER (V1): 1986 This last pic is my Viper before I fiddled with him. This version of the Viper is still awesome. TWEAK TIME! I got tired of my Firefly not having a camo balaclava, so I painted one. Okay, the colors are way off, but I?ve come to terms. Two more new Firefly pics are on page 1 of this thread. I think it?s actually the 50th Anniversary Firefly backpack. I got it as part of a Chap Mei backpack lot on eBay. I think it was just thrown in for good measure
