Anyway, that tangent aside, my congratulations to the artist. Perfect modernization of one of the nicest late-run RAH Joes, in my opinion (well, to be fair, almost all the new 1994 Battle Corps sculpts; Stalker, Lifeline, Shipwreck, Beachhead, Dial-Tone and Ice Cream Soldier, were beautifully-designed, and even Flint was pretty cool in a weird sort of way). |

*Is* that the original Battle Corps Beachhead, er, head? It looks slightly larger and more detailed.

I agree with you on that, it's just too bad a lot of them were saddled with bad color choices.

It is a modified vintage head. It looks more detailed because of the paint job. It's not as glossy so it brings out more detail. I also noticed it looks larger on the custom, but this has to be an illusion from the paint not being as glossy as the vintage.

You did this so well - you actually make me want a figure of a design I'd always thought was dumb. Great job.

Nice! He was one of my last figures, the crazy colors and weapons were a turnoff for me, but I always had a soft spot for Beachhead.
