Just a simple little repaint on the 50th anniversary Storm Shadow.
Based on the V16 Storm Shadow, appearing in the Valor Vs. Venom pack. Nothing too crazy. Wish I had more Storm Shadow Backpacks/weapons and Rope pieces. Should I have tried to emulate real-tree camouflage instead of this german type? Thanks for checkin it out, gents! |

A ME version of a fairly obscure figure? Definitely gets props from me. Awesome!

Aww hell yeah, got the nod from Code Red, as well as all the other homies who dig.
Glad I could show 'em to ya guys. Little fun fact about Code_Red. A few months before I even started getting into the ME figures (in dec '16, no less!) Well before that, I'd found a page where he was detailing all his Shockwave army. I'd thought it was sooo freaking cool. (And still do, mind you. That's where my Firefly army came/is coming from!) But, I had to find out more. There were NEW joes!!?? With articulation and sculpting like that!!?? HOW? WHAT? WHERE?!?!GIMMIE NOW!!! Well, RL and work picked up, I didn't have much of a chance to search and look. Until about two months later, wandering around a TRU, helping a buddy do last minute xmas shopping for his toddler, I found my first ME 2-pack, the Arashikage Stormshadow/Snake-Eyes 50th set. And so began my first love, all over again. Just to know one of the dudes who helped inspired me to not only get into the ME, but also, customizing 'em myself can give a thumbs up to some lil ideas I had, and brought out of my head, and onto a figure... Aww yea.. I'm sure you guys can relate to the silly pride I have over that sort of thing. Hell, the pride in any lil customizing I do, or have done, where a true joe lover, (a "Joe Brother" as I call ya'll) gets a kick out of it, likes it, approves it's coolness, acknowledges it as neat... moves 'em, or sparks their imagination. Why, that's the coolest. And, this stuff isn't done for props, not for pats on the back, or approval, or any of that other stuff. Nothing self-serving at all like that. It's to share a bit of my imagination with the Joe Brothers, and hopefully just have it spark some of their imagination too. It's the act of sharing it with ya'll. It's the closest thing I can get to playing Joes with you guys, as a grown man of 37 years old :P And guys... that's the shit. Thanks for letting me play with ya'll. I'll always do what I can to bring neat stuff to the table to spark that imagination, for all of us! Yo joe indeed. |
